Champions League Predictions Today, April 7: Sides

Arsenal to Win in Full-Time (-130): We know Arsenal dropped their last two domestic matches, which came in the English Carabao Cup and the English FA Cup. There was one glaring weaknesses for the Gunners and that came between the sticks. Arsenal played their backup keeper, Kepa Arrizabalaga, in those matches and he struggled in both. In this contest, the expectation is that starting keeper David Raya gets the start. He’s the two-time reigning Golden Glove winner in the EPL for the league’s best keeper. We saw Arsenal surrender just four goals the league phase. Take Arsenal in this contest to set the tone ahead of next week’s second leg.

Bayern Munich Over 1.5 Goals (-130): Bayern Munich is cruising in the Bundeslinga, posting a 23-4-1 mark on the year. In their 28 league contests, they have racked up a staggering 100 goals on the year. That’s an average of more than 3.5 goals a contest. Bayern Munich hasn’t slowed down in Champions League action either. They scored 22 goals in their eight matches in the league phase. Bayern Munch then torched Atalanta by a 10-2 aggregate in the Round of 16. Given the firepower they boast up front with Harry Kane, Luis Díaz and Michael Olise, it’s hard to slow them down. This match should be a fast-paced, high-scoring affair and Bayern Munich does their part.

Real Madrid Over 1.5 Goals (+100): As we noted above, this one has the potential to be a track meet. Real Madrid has been explosive themselves, scoring 64 goals in 30 matches in La Liga action. That was followed up by another 21 goals in their eight matches in the league phase. Real Madrid finished ninth in the league phase and ousted 24th-seeded Benfica by a 3-1 aggregate in the knockout phase of the playoffs. They followed that up by drubbing eighth-seeded Manchester City by a 5-1 aggregate to get here. In order to keep up with Bayern Munich, Real Madrid is going to have to push and that leads to offense.

Champions League Best Bets Today, April 7: Other

Arsenal vs. Sporting CP Both Teams to Score (-123): Arsenal outscored the opposition 23-4 in the league phase. They followed that up by taking down Bayer Leverkusen by a 3-1 aggregate in the round of 16. Sporting CP outscored their opponents 17-11 in league play. They later erupted for five goals in the second leg of their round of 16 matchup with Bodø/Glimt. Playing at home, Sporting CP is going to push offensively to try and set the tone. Both teams to score has cashed in 12 of Sporting CP’s last 20 matches. In addition, Arsenal has seen this particular option cash in four of their last five road matches. This one has all the makings of a potential 1-1 draw.

Bayern Munich vs. Real Madrid Over 3.5 (+105): We talked about the firepower that both sides bring to the pitch.  Bayern Munich is prone to miscues in their own end as they can almost afford to be sloppy at times defensively because of their strong attack. Real Madrid has been a quality side offensively as well and they can exploit Bayern’s issues with their counterattack. With that said, it’s extremely difficult to rein Bayern’s offensive charge in for a full 90 minutes. This should be a 2-2 or 3-2 final, climbing past the number here.
