Top 5 Super Bowl Props You Wish You Bet On
The Seattle Seahawks pummeled the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LX, with their defense completely shutting down Drake Maye and company as they rolled to a 29-13 win on Sunday night.
Although the game felt like it was over from the onset, bettors stayed tuned in to see whether or not their Super Bowl bets cashed or not.
Popular prop bets included Heads on the coin toss, Under for the national anthem length, Seattle spread and moneyline, and the Under for the total.
However, if we could go back in time, here are five of the prop bets we would have loved to get our money on.
Kenneth Walker to Win MVP (+550)
Odds via FanDuel
The odds for Walker closed at around +550 and, aside from Jason Myers and the Seahawks defense, ran away with the honor after picking up 135 yards on 27 carries, while also catching a pair of passes for 26 yards.
We predicted a low-scoring game, which generally doesn't award the favored quarterbacks as Super Bowl MVPs. Walker was the favorite non-quarterback to win, and he delivered.
AJ Barner First Touchdown Scorer (+1400)
Amazingly, the first touchdown of the game didn't come until the fourth quarter, when Sam Darnold hit AJ Barner in the corner of the end zone for a 16-yard touchdown.
The second-year tight end showed why Seattle believed so heavily in him; they allowed phenomenal tight end Colby Parkinson to leave in free agency, eventually joining the rival Los Angeles Rams.
Barner more than doubled his productivity in the regular season, finishing with 52 catches for 519 yards and six touchdowns. However, his Super Bowl touchdown will likely remain the greatest moment of his career.
Seattle Defense Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+500)
There was also the option to bet on any defensive or special teams touchdown at +270, which, truthfully, rarely cashes in the Super Bowl. But with just 4:27 left in the game, Uchenna Nwosu picked off Drake Maye and returned the ball 45 yards for the game-sealing touchdown, putting the Seahawks up 29-7 and putting the Super Bowl title firmly in their possession.
Score in First 3.5 Minutes of the Game: Yes (+450)
Even in this absurdly low-scoring football game (until the fourth quarter, that is), Jason Myers put the ball through the uprights on Seattle's first possession just 3:02 into the game to give the Seahawks a 3-0 lead.
Will someone run onto the field (+300)
While this prop certainly wasn't available at most sportsbooks, a fourth-quarter streaker allowed many to cash in on a nice three-to-one bet.
Gatorade Color: Yellow/Green (+270)
Most of the money on the annual Gatorade bet came in on the true OG, the classic lemon-lime flavor. Before the game even ended, cameras cut to a fresh batch of ice-cold yellow Gatorade being prepared. Mike Macdonald ended up being the recipient of the Gatorade bath, becoming the third-youngest head coach to ever win the Super Bowl (Sean McVay, Mike Tomlin).
