Tiger Woods & Rory McIlroy’s TGL Golf League Adds Partner With Eye On Sports Betting

TGL is a new tech-forward primetime team golf league. The league was developed by golf legends Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy who founded TMRW Sports. TGL is also a product of TMRW Sports in partnership with the PGA TOUR. Announced today by TGL is a new comprehensive partnership with U.S. Integrity (USI) for sports betting.

USI will “serve as the basis for TGL’s betting program.” With this partnership, TGL is putting education and the protection of integrity at the forefront of this new league’s development.

TGL Meets USI Ahead Of Sports Betting Push

This partnership is building off of the PGA TOUR’s Player Integrity Program. The popularity of PGA Championship betting has granted the golf league experience in handling the market. TGL partnering with USI is an extension of the experience being put into play.

The focus will be integrity monitoring services and fraud protection. Additionally, USI will conduct data sets that will proactively identify irregular wagering patterns.

TGL kicks off in January 2024. A partnership like this shows a proactive view of the betting industry. USI has experience working with multiple leagues and will bring this experience to TGL.

How TGL Aims To Shake Up The Golf World

TGL fuses technology with live-action golf. Teams of PGA TOUR stars will compete in matches across a season. Fans will get a “cutting edge” format of team golf. Technology will work to enhance the experience for golf fans.

A purpose-built arena on the campus of Palm Beach State College in Florida will be the host of TGL. So far, 12 players from the PGA TOUR are committed. These include founders Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy alongside champions like Jon Rahm, Justin Thomas, and Collin Morikawa.

There will be six teams of three that compete in head-to-head matches. There are four team ownership groups already finalized: TGL Atlanta, TGL Boston, and TGL New York. Major figures in the sports industry are a part of these ownership groups including the likes of Serena and Venus Williams and Steven A. Cohen.

With the sports betting integrity already set through USI, this will be a new golf sports betting option for fans via TGL sports betting odds.
