2026 Super Bowl Odds: AFC Powers, Eagles Atop Betting Board

All attention is on the Eagles after they won Super Bowl 59, but DraftKings Sportsbook has also opened betting markets for Super Bowl 60. Remember that early 2026 Super Bowl odds have a lot of vig built in, so they may serve more as a discussion point than a betting opportunity. The NFL draft and free agency will also move the needle for teams.
Try hiding your shock, but the Eagles and Chiefs are co-favorites. Fellow AFC stalwarts Baltimore and Buffalo are up next. Those are the only four teams priced below 10-1 odds for now.

Teams Of Note In Early 2026 Super Bowl odds
Detroit Lions: Detroit Lions +900 on DraftKings
Next year is the final one in which Jared Goff is on a relatively cheap contract ($32 million cap hit, goes to $69 million in 2026). In that sense, the window should remain open for the NFC’s best team of the 2024 regular season.
Detroit also has some cap room to make additions — about $44 million, per OverTheCap.
The problems come from the coaching staff. Top coordinators Ben Johnson and Aaron Glenn are moving on to head jobs with the Bears and Jets, respectively.
Two years ago, the Eagles had a similar exodus, losing both coordinators after making the Super Bowl. They took a major step back, finishing second in the division and getting crushed by the Tampa Bay Bucs early in the playoffs.
The Lions hope to get an entire healthy season from Aidan Hutchinson, who was on track for Defensive Player of the Year before breaking his leg. Better health across the board would work wonders for this defense.
San Francisco 49ers & Cincinnati Bengals Analysis
Of the teams that missed the playoffs, these are easily the market’s top two. Both teams have played in and lost Super Bowls in recent seasons and are expected to get back in the mix.
San Francisco also struggled with injuries, especially on offense. Brandon Aiyuk and Trent Williams going down hurt, and Deebo Samuel’s career has taken a turn for the worse.
Now, the defense will see significant turnover. Javon Hargrave, Dre Greenlaw, Charvarius Ward, and Talanoa Hufanga are unrestricted free agents. All have been solid starters at worst for the 49ers. And the team opted to move on from coordinator Nick Sorensen.
The Bengals will have to make another decision on Tee Higgins. With $44 million in cap space, they should be able to retain him. The question will be whether that money is better spent there or on a defense that finished at the bottom of the barrel.
Cincy has continuity on that end, with only two unrestricted free agents out of the starting unit. But in this case, that may not be a good thing.

Washington Commanders & Minnesota Vikings Analysis
After entering the season with NFL win totals that suggested they’d be picking in the top 10, these two NFC contenders emerged out of nowhere.
The Commanders are in a promising position, similar to where the Texans found themselves after last year’s surprise run. They have the quarterback they know is the guy, and he’s getting paid crumbs on a rookie deal. And they have the money to load up around him, with OverTheCap projecting $70 million in space. That trails only New England and Las Vegas.
None of the team’s free agents look irreplaceable, with Bobby Wagner and Zach Ertz providing the most production.
Of course, as the Texans themselves showed, Washington is not immune from taking a step back. Its offseason moves will bear watching.
Minnesota will retain Brian Flores, who led the No. 2 defense by DVOA and EPA/play. Between Flores and O’Connell, the Vikings’ brain trust is among the league’s sharpest.
The big question mark here is at QB. Especially following O’Connell’s post-loss comments, it sounds like the team will not try to retain Sam Darnold. Instead, it’ll hope to strike gold with its own “rookie” QB. J.J. McCarthy will presumably take over after a rookie season loss to injury.
O’Connell has shown he can get his QBs to outperform their talent levels. Bettors may find the Vikings intriguing, though the Vikings will have to play tough division opponents.
Chicago Bears: Chicago Bears +4000 on DraftKings
Speaking of NFC North teams, the Bears also have 2026 Super Bowl odds that look somewhat optimistic. They’re priced ahead of recent contenders like the Dolphins, Steelers, and Cowboys.
Anyone betting the Bears will be counting on the pairing of new head coach Ben Johnson and Caleb Williams to bear immediate fruit.
Historically, betting on second-year quarterbacks to make a leap and go over their win totals has produced a profit.
However, it’s worth remembering that we have no idea if Johnson can coach. Coordinating an offense and steering a franchise as the head coach are very different jobs.
The Bears must also rebuild their offensive line, a significant weakness in 2024. The interior will leave in free agency, and Keenan Allen will also hit the market.
Perhaps Williams can leap Johnson’s tutelage and begin ascending to the heights his draft stock suggests. However, the early market price caps the upside here and leaves much room for the downside.
