Eagles Injury Analysis

While there’s nothing too ominous for the Eagles, they do have some minor Super Bowl injury concerns.

Jalen Carter is the biggest name to watch. On the surface, he looks to be fine after logging a full practice on Thursday. In reality, Carter missed the prior two days of media availability because of what the team called an illness. At least one report characterized “flu-related illness” as having spread through the Eagles, affecting four or five players. EDGE Nolan Smith and CB Quinyon Mitchell were also among those afflicted.

A hamstring injury has also slowed WR Devonta Smith. He logged limited practices on Wednesday and Thursday.

The early injury reports centered around C Cam Jurgens and G Landon Dickerson. Both finished the NFC Championship severely banged up, the former having had to play as an emergency fill-in when he was supposed to be out. Both have logged full practices, indicating they’re good to go. They must be at their best when facing Chris Jones and the Chiefs’ exotic blitzes.

Chiefs Injury Analysis

The Chiefs have as clean an injury report as can be hoped for this time of year. Even their IR only has one contributor, WR Rashee Rice, who could not return from a knee injury.

Look for the Chiefs to be at full strength come Sunday.
