Super Bowl same game parlay

The quickest way to increase your betting volume is to use parlays. With just one game left on this year’s NFL slate, you’ll want to build a same game parlay to see the season off. But before you go firing off a 15-leg lottery ticket, let’s go over some strategy to help you build a winning SGP. Below, we’ll look at same game parlay strategy options for the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl 57 against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Same Game Parlay Strategy

Before we get into the team-specific approach, let’s talk same game parlays in general. Choosing correlated legs greatly increases the chances of your parlay cashing. Look for legs that mathematically increase the likelihood of the other legs happening.

For example, if you’re looking to bet the Chiefs to win this game, correlated legs may include going over the team point total or over the game total. While pairing Chiefs moneyline with under 24.5 points might spit out a gaudy +606, those two legs conflict with each other. In the wise words of the late John Madden, “Usually the team with the most points wins the game.”

On the season, KC is 13-0 when scoring more than 24 points. They’re 3-3 when scoring fewer than 24. That’s an oversimplification, but looking for correlated factors will improve your SGP success.

Chiefs Same Game Parlay Options

When dealing with the final two teams in the Super Bowl, finding glaring weaknesses is nearly impossible. Gone are the layups of bottom-tier rushing defenses or a catastrophic offensive line, so we’ll have to get creative with building our SGPs here.

As mentioned, the Chiefs are unbeaten this season when scoring over 24 points. If you’re building your SGP around a Chiefs victory, pair moneyline with over 24.5 team points.

Though KC faces a top-flight defense in Philadelphia, the Chiefs are the NFL’s number-one offense in EPA and success rate. They showed the ability to handle aggressive pass rushes when they hung 44 on the road against the 49ers earlier this year.

To add a third leg– and some juice– to this parlay, I’m looking to add Jalen Hurts under passing yards. While rarely trailing this season, the Eagles run the slowest pace in the NFL when trailing by seven or more points (seconds per play). They also remain true to their offense, finding success in the run before airing it out. The odds suggest a tight-fought battle throughout, a good basis to keep the ball on the ground for Philadelphia. Hurts surpassed 245 passing yards five times all season and just twice after September. Those two times came against the Steelers (25th in dropback EPA) and Bears (last).

The three legs prices out to over +400 on FanDuel Sportsbook:

  • Chiefs moneyline (+104)
  • Chiefs over 24.5 team points (-106)
  • Jalen Hurts under 238.5 passing yards (-114)
