Norway took its time to get going against Iraq, eventually scoring a 4-1 victory over the Asian side. They’re likely to find things rougher against an experienced Senegal side in this FIFA World Cup same game parlay.

It’s taken a top side or one playing at home to beat Senegal. The Lions of Teranga have just three defeats in 17 matches, and all came against a team expected to win their group. They’ve lost 2-0 to Group C favorite Brazil, 3-2 to Group D winner United States and lost their opening match in Group I by 3-1 to France.

Senegal needs to get something out of this match to keep hope alive. They finish with Iraq, easily the weakest team in the group. If Senegal can earn a draw here and beat the Lions of Mesopotamia, they’ll almost surely advance in second or third.

That should suit Norway just fine. A draw would see the Vikings reach four points, which is almost always enough to go through. With Senegal likely to press the issue, a double chance holds a lot of value.

Norway learned a hard lesson at the 1994 World Cup, also held in the United States. The Vikings played conservatively, and finished bottom of the group when all four sides won once, drew once and lost once. Norway has not made that mistake again, playing an attacking style ever since.

In qualifying, they won all eight of their matches and scored 37 goals in the process. They had their way with the group in the final third, but the defense remained inconsistent. Iraq’s goal marked the seventh time in eight matches that Norway had conceded.

The Vikings also haven’t yet shown they can consistently beat the world’s top teams. Iraq is just the second World Cup team Norway have beaten. Norway is just 2-2-1 in 2026, drawing with Morocco and Switzerland and losing to the Netherlands. Senegal possess similar quality to the Swiss and represent a real step up from Iraq.

Senegal Should Keep Up the Attack

Senegal nearly got shut out by France, but Ibrahim Mbaye found the mesh five minutes into stoppage time to pull one back. The goal should come a little earlier against Norway. Senegal has only failed to score once in 13 matches, and that was in a friendly with Saudi Arabia. With a result necessary, Senegal isn’t going to sit back in this match.

Norway doesn’t have the personnel needed to stop Mbaye and Sadio Mane. Nor do the Vikings play the kind of defense needed to do so. Senegal should find the net at least once.

Haaland Goal Should Finish FIFA World Cup Same Game Parlay Play

Any time Norway is on the pitch, Erling Haaland is a threat to score. A goal from him might be the easiest inclusion in your same game parlay picks today.

Haaland is easily the best player Norway have ever produced. The Vikings look to him in every competitive match, and he usually delivers. He has scored in 11 straight competitive matches for Norway, including all eight qualifiers and the win over Iraq.

In 51 matches for Norway, he’s scored 57 goals, a mind-blowing number given that he always attracts the most attention. He’s likely to add to his total at least once in what should be a wide-open match.
