FIFA World Cup Props Today 6/29: Wirtz, Saibari Marker Among Best Bets
Good shooters don’t stay silent for long. Eventually, they start to hit the target, especially when they keep taking chances. And that’s why Florian Wirtz scoring a goal makes sense as one of the best FIFA World Cup props today.
Germany has played inconsistent soccer so far, and there are some real questions at the back line. The defense has let down, and the goalkeeping situation isn’t great. That’s forced Julian Nagelsmann to rely more on his attack, which is Germany’s biggest strength.
Paraguay should offer little resistance. The South American side might well be the luckiest side to get through to the knockout stage. They were blitzed by the United States in the opening match, then should have lost to Turkiye in their second match. Paraguay scored two minutes into the match, then hung on as the Turks blew chance after chance to equalize.
With those three points secured, Paraguay knew it could go through with a draw with Australia. It offered nothing in that match, content to get through the group. That’s not going to serve it well against the Germans. Germany should attack early and often, making a German outburst a good bet when looking for FIFA World Cup props today.
Here’s a look at some of your best options.
Florian Wirtz Anytime Goal Scorer (+195, FanDuel)
Wirtz has taken eight shots in three matches. Nobody else in a German shirt has that many, yet Wirtz hasn’t hit the mesh yet. That means that the goal is coming; he’s too good of a scorer to stay silent.
Paraguay is likely to try to hang on for dear life. It’s probably not going to work. Once the dam breaks, the Albirroja will have to come out and play. It didn’t work against the United States, and Germany offers more quality than the USMNT.
Wirtz will touch the ball regularly and continue his attacks at the target. He has two assists to his name, but he’s going to be looking for the goal. At these odds, he’s good value to find it.
Matias Galarza Anytime Goal Scorer (+800, Caesars)
Galarza is not a goal scorer most of the time. But some players perform differently when competing for their country, and Galarza appears to be one of those. In 148 club matches, Galarza has just 12 goals. In 17 matches for Paraguay, he’s scored four times.
That includes a goal against Turkiye that lifted Paraguay into the knockouts. He’s scored twice this month, and he clearly has the trust of coach Gustavo Alfaro. He’s played in two of three matches, and he came off in stoppage time of both of them.
Germany has yet to keep a clean sheet in this tournament. As Paraguay gets desperate, things should open up at both ends. That should allow for a consolation goal, and Galarza offers incredible value.
Ismael Saibari Anytime Goal Scorer (+260, BetMGM)
This match should be a great one, and it’s one Saibari is well-prepared for. The Morrocan star plies his trade in the Dutch Eredivisie at PSV Eindhoven, meaning he knows the Netherlands quite well. That adds to the motivation, and Saibari hasn’t lacked for that in this tournament.
He’s scored in the first half of every match Morocco has played. Against both Brazil and Scotland, Saibari had the first goal of the match. He was a bit behind against Haiti, scoring second for the Atlas Lions.
The Netherlands have played open, attacking soccer. They’ve scored 10 goals in three matches, but they’ve allowed four. Not one of their matches has seen fewer than four goals. Morocco will be all too happy to play that style, and Saibari should hit the target again.
