Los Angeles was flying recently, winning four MLS games on the bounce to move towards the summit of the Western Conference table. However, LAFC is now five points behind leader Vancouver Whitecaps after an alarming dip in form.
Marc Dos Santos’ men took ten points from their first four games after the 2026 FIFA World Cup break, but they are winless in four. Still, after losses to San Diego FC and Colorado Rapids, Los Angeles drew at home with Portland Timbers last time out.
The Black and Gold are on the hunt for their first MLS win since thumping Sporting KC a month back. Can the away team end its poor run this weekend in Washington, D.C.?
Head-to-Head Meetings
This will be just the fourth meeting between the two. LAFC is unbeaten against DC, winning two and drawing one.
The pair last locked horns in August 2022, with LAFC winning 1-0 thanks to Mahala Opoku’s second-half strike. Los Angeles won 4-0 in the only previous meeting at Audi Field in 2019.
