SNF Week 5 NFL Parlay Picks: How to Maximize Bets in Bills vs Patriots Matchup
Written By Blaise Bourgeois | Last Updated at October 5, 2025
This week’s edition of Sunday Night Football is one of the more intriguing matchups of the 2025 NFL season thus far, pitting the volatile New England Patriots against their AFC East rivals, the Buffalo Bills.
According to FanDuel (as of Saturday, October 4th), the Bills come in as massive 8.5 point favorites. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean that Buffalo is going to roll. In fact, since 2023, whenever the Bills have been at least six-point favorites against New England, they’ve gone 0-3 against the spread.
Despite their second 4-0 start since 2009, the Bills have failed to cover their last two games, where they’ve had a huge edge, beating the Dolphins by 10 (-11.5) and the Saints by 12 (-14.5).
Ahead of Sunday Night Football, we’ve cooked up a couple sweaty parlay bets that we think have a good chance of paying out. While we’re not going after crazy +100000 odds, we’re looking at a couple of potential hits based on probable game scripts.
Bills Blowout (+352)
- Bills -8.5 (-108)
- Josh Allen Over 225.5 Passing Yards (-114)
- James Cook to Score a Touchdown (-230)
The Bills love playing on Sunday Night Football in Buffalo, posting a 10-1 record all-time at home, last having lost back 2007 when Tom Brady ran rampant in a 56-10 battering.
This means Josh Allen has never lost under the lights on SNF at Highmark Stadium and odds are that trend is going to stay the same this week.
If the Bills thrash the Patriots, it's going to come down to two big elements: Josh Allen throwing the ball and James Cook running the ball down their throats.
James Cook has hit the endzone every week throughout the first quarter of the season, scoring five times in the first four games of the 2025 campaign. It will be a difficult strength vs. strength matchup, as he's pitted against one of the league's best rushing defenses. The Patriots have only allowed two rushing touchdowns so far this season, with their 77.5 rushing yards per game allowed ranking second in the league.
If you want to add some extra spice to this three-team parlay, throw in Dalton Kincaid to score anytime at +240 to up the ante from +352 to +1245.
Patriots Upset (+3150)
- Patriots ML (+340)
- Drake Maye 3+ Passing TDs (+490)
- Josh Allen Over 225.5 Passing Yards (-114)
- Drake Maye Over 224.5 Passing Yards (-114)
- Stefon Diggs Over 48.5 Receiving Yards (-114)
Obviously, this is the longshot route but if the Patriots are going to go into Highmark Stadium and knock off the unbeaten Bills, Drake Maye has to have one of the games of his life.
It's unclear who will get the majority of the carries on the ground between Rhamondre Stevenson, rookie TreVeyon Henderson, or even Antonio Gibson. We do know, however, that Stefon Diggs will have to ball out in his "revenge game" in order for New England to improve to 3-2.
If the Patriots make this game competitive, you can be sure that Josh Allen will be throwing the rock early and often.
Back-and-Forth Battle (+9740)
- Patriots +8.5 (-112)
- Under 49.5 Points (-108)
- Josh Allen 2+ Passing TDs (-144)
- Drake Maye 2+ Passing TDs (+126)
- Josh Allen Anytime Scorer (-125)
The way the Bills have been playing against subpar opposition this season, this could be the most likely gamescript of all. At nearly 100:1, this is an insane price, and I'm personally laying money on this one myself.
With any kind of rivalry game, this has potential to go down right to the wire. If the Patriots are going to keep this game close, they're going to have to play good, clean football and manage the clock. That means keeping the ball out of Josh Allen's hands and limiting Buffalo's time of possession.
So far, nobody's been able to do that, as the Bills are first in the NFL in time of possession this season, while New England are in the middle of the pack. It's a small sample size but the Bills know how to eat clock.
