Bills – Saints Breakdown
Both teams come in reeling a little with the Bills having lost two of three and the Saints dropping three straight. They each come in with question marks on both sides of the ball that make this a difficult game to handicap.
The Bills appear to have hit a Chiefs-like wall on offense. Teams have adjusted to what they want to do. They aren’t punishing light boxes with a strong running game. Their defense just got shredded on the ground, raising the question of whether this unit is as elite as the numbers say.
We’ll create a couple of same game parlay bases around two different potential game scripts. If you like them, you can either bet them yourself, or use them as building blocks for bigger parlays.
Potential Same Game Parlay (Saints Win)
With the way Buffalo has played of late, the Saints should be live underdogs at home here. They have a smart coach who is sure to attack the weak points that other teams have revealed recently.
However, keep an eye on the injury report here. The Saints struggled without their star offensive tackles, Ryan Ramczyk and Terron Armstead, scoring 7 points in the first three quarters before a fourth-quarter garbage-time bonanza against Philly.
Assuming they get those guys back, the next question is whether Alvin Kamara returns to the lineup. This is a simple pivot either way, but the idea here is the Saints probably won’t keep up with Buffalo if this turns into a track meet. But if they can pound their starting RB successfully — or even both if you want to get frisky — they can grind out some decent drives.
In this scenario, they shorten the game and limit a Bills offense that looks vulnerable. Josh Allen ranks outside the top 10 QBs in EPA/play. So, the game goes under along with the Saints winning.
- Saints ML
- Under 46.5
- Tw0-leg same game parlay odds (FanDuel Sportsbook): +365
- Third leg option: Mark Ingram rushing yards over
Potential Same Game Parlay (Bills Blowout)
What if the Bills do get back on track though? This is still a good offense on paper with a sharp coaching staff. And again, the Saints defense has not played all that well since they spanked Tom Brady in Week 8.
If the Bills go up early, they should find themselves in a pretty juicy spot since Trevor Siemian is not the man you want pressing throws downfield in an attempt at sparking a comeback. He possesses way below average arm strength and the receiving corps probably won’t do him any favors.
- Bills alternate spread -7
- Josh Allen over passing yards
- Siemian over 0.5 INT
