How Romania qualified for Euro 2024

Group I was one of the lighter qualifying groups, and Romania advanced with ease. Allowing just five goals over the ten group games, with a record of 6-4-0, it was an easy path to returning to the European tournament. This stage will be a tougher test, given the attackers they will face within the group, as the qualifiers didn't present much of a threat.

Notable Players

There are far more recognizable groups of players at this tournament, but the Serie A presence is heavy within this group. George Puscas is the goal-scoring threat for this team, hailing from Genoa. Razvan Marin and Dennis Man, both coming from Serie A, present some much-needed experience against this level of talent. The name to watch is Nicolae Stanciu, who will be looking to create plenty of opportunities as the operating ten.

The depth of this squad's backline is tough to match. Radu Dragusin is a young back who moved to Tottenham but has not been given many minutes. However, he is one of the up-and-coming center-backs who can play various positions along the back line. Burca will likely draw the other central defensive role.
