RBC Heritage Odds

The 2025 PGA Tour golf season continues, with Harbour Town Golf Links next on tap to host the RBC Heritage in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, beginning Thursday. Scottie Scheffler, Collin Morikawa, and Ludvig Aberg headline among RBC Heritage bets this week, as John Haslbauer provides his favorite picks among all the golf odds for this tourney. You’ll find the top odds across the best sports betting sites.

It’s a major hangover week, as the 2025 RBC Heritage is tasked to pick up the pieces left behind by Rory McIlroy’s momentous win at the Masters last week. However, the PGA Tour has elevated this tourney for the second year to signature event status to keep that momentum going. That means a higher purse and limited field of the best players on the PGA Tour.

The convergence of an elite field with a classic, positional venue like Harbour Town Golf Links creates some interesting betting decisions. The premium skillsets of driving the ball long and straight and precision with approaches beyond 200 yards are not at all applicable to finding success here this week, which explains why veteran plodders like Satoshi Kodaira, Wes Bryan, and Jim Furyk have RBC Heritage wins to their names.

Especially in contrast to the skillsets needed to thrive at Augusta National last week, the RBC Heritage provides a great bounce-back opportunity for accurate course managers.

Below, we’ll go through my final RBC Heritage bets. Click the odds anywhere in this article to place RBC Heritage wagers. For a full breakdown of the tournament and course, visit my RBC Heritage preview

HOW I BUILT MY RBC Heritage BETTING CARD

I’m a little less intimidated by Scheffler than I should be this week. As the defending champion, he knows how to navigate this course. However, he’s nowhere near the level of momentum he had been carrying at this stage last year.

If this becomes a fairway-to-green contest, it opens it up to a much more exhaustive list of potential contenders if they can regularly keep the ball in play off the tee and out-put Scottie Scheffler on the greens. I’ve prioritized players who fit that bill this week when piecing together my betting card.

From a unit allocation standpoint, it’s back to business as usual for my weekly stake at the 2025 RBC Heritage.

  • FRL: 0.5U in to pay out 10U+ each

rbc heritage BETS: OUTRIGHTS (3.5 UNITS)

Patrick Cantlay

My bet: +2000
Best available odds:

You won’t find another player more likely to win on a positional Pete Dye course than Patrick Cantlay. Over his last 18 starts across Harbour Town, The Stadium Course, and TPC River Highlands, Cantlay has amassed 16 top-15 finishes. The consummate course strategist, Cantlay has always delivered a thoughtful gameplan when navigating a thinker’s golf course like Harbour Town. It’s hard to believe he is still chasing his first PGA Tour win since the 2022 BMW Championship. But, amid his best approach season since 2019, few would be surprised to see him back in the winner’s circle this week.

Shane Lowry

My bet: +2800
Best available odds:

There is a second-hand hangover narrative circling Shane Lowry this week, with fear he may be too distracted by his friend Rory McIlroy’s momentous Masters win. That is no concern to me. Lowry is a competitor and voiced his frustration after Round 3 of the Masters, stating he was tired of being asked about Rory’s chances and not his own. He’ll have an opportunity to fixate the spotlight back on himself this week on a course that could not be better suited to his strengths. Lowry ranks No. 4 in my model, rating top-10 in driving accuracy, SG: T2G, SG: APP, and SG: ARG.

Sepp Straka

My bet: +4500
Best available odds:

It was a disappointing triple-bogey on the 18th hole Friday at The Masters that caused an early exit for the Austrian. That should make the Masters come-down a bit less daunting, as he’s had some extra time to retool and prep for the RBC Heritage. Harbour Town is a better fit for Straka’s game, too, as it accentuates the importance of precision over power and allows the most in-form ball-strikers to separate. Straka ranks No. 1 in SG: TOT over the last 36 rounds and No. 2 in SG: APP. He’ll look to build on two top-five finishes in the previous three years at the RBC Heritage.

Daniel Berger

My bet: +5000
Best available odds:

As a player who should be on anyone’s betting card this week, Berger has exceeded all expectations in his first full season back from injury. He’s now finished in the top 30 in his last seven starts, gaining over a full stroke in each of the four major strokes gained categories. As we head back to his preferred surface of Bermuda, Berger carries a very sustainable floor into Harbour Town, a course ideally suited to his strength of accurate ball-striking. Ranking No. 9 in my model, he has finished in the top 20 in his last three appearances at the RBC Heritage.

Bud Cauley

My bet: +8000
Best available odds:

Perhaps the hottest player in the field this week, Bud Cauley offers appealing odds for someone who has placed in the top six in his last three starts. With positive memories, Cauley will return to Harbour Town, having cracked the top 10 in 2017. In this 2025 renaissance, Cauley’s success appears sustainable, as he ranks in the top 10 in SG: T2G, SG: ball striking, and greens in regulation percentage. As he heads into Harbour Town this week, this setup should continue to cater to his strengths of accuracy off the tee, consistent approach play, and a reliable short game.

RBC Heritage BETS: FIRST-ROUND LEADER (0.5 UNITS)

Aaron Rai

My bet: +4500
Best available odds:

Aaron Rai had us for a moment at the Masters last week, securing a solo lead in the first round through the front nine before ultimately being chased down by Justin Rose. It would be too far-fetched to expect Rai to claim the first-round lead at Augusta, but Harbour Town is a far more plausible opportunity.

JT Poston

My bet: +5000
Best available odds:

I like JT Poston’s prospects this week, but I struggle to see him outlasting Scottie Scheffler, Ludvig Aberg, and Collin Morikawa through four rounds. As a compromise, I’ll limit my exposure to Poston in the first round before the weekend pressure settles in.

Davis Thompson

My bet: +5500
Best available odds:

A known birdie-maker who picked up his first career PGA Tour win at the John Deere Classic, Thompson has the game to fire off a hot Thursday start at Harbour Town. Bermuda is his preferred surface, and with the tee-to-green game looking in top form, Thompson is a real threat to go low in Round 1.

Tom Hoge

My bet: +6000
Best available odds:

After three consecutive top-15 finishes, Hoge wants to keep that momentum building into Round 1 of the RBC Heritage. This course should suit him and TPC Sawgrass, emphasizing elite mid-iron approach play.

RBC HERITAGE BETS: PROPS (2.5 UNITS)

Full Tournament Matchup: Sepp Straka Over Aaron Rai

My bet: -115

As much as I love Aaron Rai, he does not have an excellent track record when expectations are heightened, so this bet indicates how high I am on Straka and how skeptical I am about Rai as a contender in a signature event. Straka is a “safe” option to back in matchups, as his consistency in gaining at an elite level on approach sets him up for a high floor at Harbour Town. In contrast to Straka’s strong course history (two top-fives over the last three years), Rai has yet to prove his fit here, finishing T48 in one prior appearance.

Top-20 Finish: Shane Lowry

My bet: -105
Best available odds:

Limited fields have removed some of the betting value in signature event matchups, so I tend to refine my exposure to the one placement bet I feel most confident in at around even odds or better. This week, that’s Shane Lowry, as he’s posted five top-20 finishes over his first eight starts on the PGA Tour this season. He’s also finished in the top 10 at this event in three of his last six trips.

ONE AND DONE

My pick: Corey Conners ()

Signature events are not the best time to get cute about contrarian stances, as these are the select few tournaments in the OAD season where the most prize money is up for grabs. With that said, it’s not easy to trust which elite talent outside of Scottie Scheffler will show up any given week this PGA Tour season, which gives me pause to pull the trigger on any big names this week.

As it turns out, I’ve already used many of the players I feel the most conviction in this week (Lowry, Cantlay, Berger, Straka). While Scottie is a consideration for me, I’ll save him for the Memorial in a few weeks. It’s the more opportune place to separate with his skillsets. Instead, I’ll take my best player available in Corey Conners, who is in top form with four top-10s over his last five starts and has the perfect game to score at Harbour Town.

I would also consider playing Shane Lowry, Jordan Spieth, or Patrick Cantlay in OAD, if not Conners.

RBC HERITAGE Bets: THE CARD

That’ll do it for this week’s PGA Tour golf bets. Best of luck this week with your bets on RBC Heritage odds, and see you next week for the AT&T Byron Nelson.
