We're back and looking at the best prediction markets news today on Kalshi! In this series, we won't necessarily stick to just sports. We'll look at all the markets trending for trades on Kalshi and put a little context behind each one. Hope you're reading this hungry, because we're kicking things off with fast food. Let's dive into the action.

Prediction Markets News Today for July 15

Here's why you might work up an appetite. First up, Kalshi has an interesting one for the business crowd: "McDonald's global corporate sales growth in Q2." There's a full buffet of options to trade, with outcomes ranging from 0% up to 4.5% growth, and "Yes" or "No" available on both sides, which makes it a fun one to dig into.

McDonald's has been trending early this week because the Golden Arches are rolling out a whole new taste palette: Caesar on everything. Per McDonald's corporate website, a limited-time Caesar lineup lands at participating restaurants nationwide on July 21, headlined by a $2.99 Caesar Snack Wrap, a Bacon Caesar McCrispy sandwich, and a Caesar dip cup for anyone who wants a little extra flavor.

As for the numbers that actually move this market, McDonald's reported 3.8% global comparable sales growth for the first quarter, announced back on May 6. That's a solid benchmark as traders handicap where Q2 lands. I'm willing to bet Caesar won't be the last new limited-time-only item we see from McDonald's in 2026.

Kalshi Politics: Will Daylight Saving Time Become Permanent?

Daylight saving time is trending, and you know it — Kalshi is right in the thick of the news with its market, "Will daylight saving time become permanent?" A good chunk of volume has poured in, and prices soared Tuesday after multiple national outlets reported that the House voted to make daylight saving time permanent.

Per CNN, the House passed the Sunshine Protection Act — the Trump-backed bill that would lock the clocks year-round while letting states opt out — by a 308-117 margin. Of course, it'll still have to clear the Senate before President Donald Trump could sign it into law.

Kalshi notes in the finer print that the market resolves "Yes" if legislation establishing permanent daylight saving time becomes law after issuance and before January 20, 2029. Here's how the tiers are trading:
