Who replaces Karoline Leavitt as U.S. Press Secretary? The prediction markets are having their say as the controversial figure prepares to exit to take up maternity leave.

You can now buy and sell event contracts on Leavitt’s successor in the White House. Leavitt leaves at the end of August, so you don’t have a lot of time to lock in your value picks.

Luckily, we assess the big frontrunners to take over the reins. Can anyone spin the spin like Leavitt, or will Trump go with a leftfield pick?

Next US Press Secretary Prediction Market: Frontrunners

Political races like the next press secretary always excite prediction markets, and prices can be volatile.

Favorites can go in and out of favor quickly, so it’s important to choose a position and track the price changes. Don’t be afraid to sell if your contracts increase quickly in value.

Alina Habba: ‘Yes’ @ $0.39

Alina Habba was behind both Anna Kelly and Scott Jennings until this week. Now, Habba is the clear favorite to take over the role, and she has the all-important Trump credentials to take the job.

Habba Haves and Have-Nots:

Habba hasn’t always been on the right side of the headlines, however. A federal court ruled that she had remained in her position as New Jersey U.S. Attorney unlawfully at the end of an interim period.

Our pick: ‘Yes’ for the favorite at Kalshi, $0.39

Anna Kelly: ‘Yes’ @ $0.28

Anna Kelly would be the natural “transition” candidate for the next Press Secretary at the White House.

Kelly currently serves as Leavitt’s deputy press secretary. She knows the ropes and understands how a press secretary under Trump would serve: that means towing the party line and supporting every Truth Social outburst and overnight change in policy

Plus, Kelly has oftentimes stepped in to face FOX News questions on a range of topics. She also has the telegenic qualities Trump likes in camera-facing appointees (Kelly is a former beauty queen.)

Value Pick: Katie Miller ‘Yes’ @ $0.01

Ignoring Scott Jennings’ ($0.13) credentials, let’s end with a strong value play in the press secretary prediction markets.

Katie Miller already has an “in” at the White House. She’s the wife of Steven Miller, the influential White House Deputy Chief of Staff.

She also has some history in the press department, serving under Mike Pence for several years. Pence badly fell out of favor with Trump, so that connection could scupper Miller’s chances. A penny for Steven Miller’s thoughts on this ultra-conservative White House shot?

Our pick: Find the big value with Katie Miller at Kalshi, $0.01

Karoline Leavitt has initiated a swift exit from the White House. Prediction markets are therefore moving quickly, and it’s the ideal time to make hay before a successor is announced.
