Sometimes, all it takes is a social media frenzy to lift one favorite over another in the prediction markets.

For Margaret Qualley, star of The Substance and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, it was the 2025 Oscars. The daughter of Andie MacDowell was included in a Bond-themed dance routine.

The result? Qualley raced to the top of the Kalshi market, although still just a 31% shot. However, casting directors are yet to decide on the next 007 actor, so there’s still time to trade in and out of the gilt-edged Bond girl markets.

Anya Taylor-Joy: ‘Yes’ @ $0.20

Anya Taylor-Joy is a leftfield choice, but then Amazon has hinted at doing things differently since it took over the franchise.

The British actress is well-known and has the acting credentials. But Amazon would need to flesh out the Bond girl role to accommodate an actress of Taylor-Joy’s stature. Maybe a female 007 to take over the lead?

Taylor-Joy moved from Netflix crowdpleaser, ‘The Queen’s Gambit’ to take on roles in ‘The Witch’, ‘The Northman’ and ‘Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga’. She has the range and has shown she can hold her own in an action franchise. $0.20 is a top value play here.

Sydney Sweeney: ‘No’ @ $0.81

Sydney Sweeney was the favorite at Kalshi for much of the Next Bond Girl market’s early life.

In truth, the ‘Housemaid’ star has been grouped in with several hot-right-now actresses, such as Florence Pugh and Zendaya.

Certainly, Sweeney has the Bond girl looks to carry off the role. She would, however, be more famous than the actual 007 pick should producers go with a lesser-known actor for Bond.

Though not representing value, a tentative Watch/No trade at $0.81 is the smart play.
