Next 007 Prediction Market: Lowden Leads as Final Screen Tests Scheduled

The race to be the next 007 is nearly over in the prediction markets. Final screen tests are beginning to see which actor will assume the role of cinema's most famous spy.
The race to become the next James Bond has been going on for years. Certainly, it’s been a long journey since Daniel Craig retired his Walther PPK and Vodka Martini. Amazon has bought the franchise, and work on a new film is set to begin imminently.
The Hollywood Reporter says final screen tests are underway this weekend to determine the role. Will any of the shortlisted stars grab the part, or will a left-field choice emerge?
That’s what Kalshi traders are trying to figure out as they sift through social media buzz and filter out the celebrity noise.
Next James Bond: Kalshi Board Nears End Game
The new 007 movie, tentatively titled "Bond 26", is the first to be produced by Amazon MGM Films since their takeover. It’s set to hit theaters in 2028, but first, who will succeed Daniel Craig in the tuxedo?
Prediction markets have been highly active in this market for some time. Over $2.5 million has traded on Kalshi, with a shortlist of contenders moving through the casting room.
Now, final screen tests are being held this weekend. Who will impress the producers?
Jack Lowden: ‘Yes’ @ $0.62
Scottish actor Jack Lowden has been one of the hot favorites to be the next 007 since the summer. We tipped Lowden at $0.37 in mid-August as he jostled with Callum Turner for the tux.
Lowden is one of the stars of "Slow Horses", with co-star Gary Oldman even saying he “knows” he has been given the part.
That seems to have been enough to send Lowden’s price soaring. If you’d bought event contracts at $0.37, you could sell now at $0.62 and pocket $0.25 per share. At $0.62, there’s still some value.
Our pick: Lowden leads the charge – Kalshi, $0.62
Callum Turner: ‘Yes’ @ $0.29
Calum Turner has dominated the Next 007 prediction market since November. Reaching a dizzying 54%, he briefly lost the lead to Jack Lowden before closely following the Scot’s price.
Turner is expected to act in a ready-made 007 set and perform action scenes as part of the last screen test. That shouldn’t be too hard for the "Masters of the Air" star.
Turner is also the right age, with producers initially hinting that the next Bond actor should be younger than Daniel Craig or Pierce Brosnan. Turner is 36 – the perfect age for a new 007?
Our pick: Callum Turner justifies the value play – Kalshi, $0.29
Josh O’Connor: ‘Yes’ @ $0.19
Josh O’Connor is reportedly one of four actors to reach the final round of screen tests. However, his price has rarely jumped over $0.20.
The dark horse to be the next James Bond is best known for Netflix’s "The Crown". However, he’s recently had blockbuster outings in Steven Spielberg’s "Disclosure Day" and "Knives Out: Wake Up Dead Man".
Our pick: O’Connor the value prediction – Kalshi, $0.19
