We’re breaking down the Kalshi World Series prediction market to spot potential value in the race for the next MLB champion.

Free agency opened earlier this week, and every team will look to strengthen its roster for the upcoming season. A lockout looms on Dec. 1, so clubs may operate with urgency over the next few weeks.

A contentious labor battle is widely expected between the owners and the MLBPA, but hopefully they'll reach a new agreement before the season is delayed.

Kalshi World Series Prediction Market: Current Favorites

The Los Angeles Dodgers are the runaway favorites, trading at $0.20 in the current Kalshi World Series prediction market. They have a seemingly unlimited budget and the most talented roster on paper.

An untimely injury to Shohei Ohtani cost them a deeper run in 2026, but can they improve their roster even further this offseason? Will they bring back star left-hander Tarik Skubal in free agency?

The defending-champion Milwaukee Brewers are currently trading at $0.14. They will almost certainly need to replace Jake Bauers' production, despite extending him a qualifying offer.

Pitchers Brandon Woodruff and Dustin May are also likely to depart in free agency. Still, All-World pitcher Jacob Misiorowski and an excellent young core of hitters should keep Milwaukee in contention.

The Brewers may operate with a limited budget, but they're an elite organization. Their track record of shrewd trades and an impressive farm system should provide reinforcements as they look to defend their title.

If trading a favorite, lean toward the Dodgers because of their extreme financial might and equally strong minor-league depth. Their roster might look even more potent in just a few short weeks.

Kalshi World Series Value Picks

Now that we’ve discussed the frontrunners, let’s dive in and see what value opportunities are available.

New York Yankees to Win World Series: 'Yes' ($0.07)

The New York Yankees looked destined for a deep run at the World Series before an untimely injury to their top hitter.

Aaron Judge missed most of the summer before briefly returning in September, and then another injury knocked him out for the season. The Yankees offense looked completely different without Judge, and it ultimately cost them.

A healthy year from Judge, a step forward from prospects George Lombard Jr. and Spencer Jones, and strategic additions to improve the offense could make them an unstoppable force.

The pitching is largely in place, headlined by a Cy Young season from ace Cam Schlittler. Gerrit Cole, Max Fried, and Carlos Rodon all finished the year healthy, filling out a strong rotation.

The bullpen will be a focus this offseason, with incumbent closer David Bednar headed to free agency. However, flame-throwing prospect Carlos Lagrange looks ready to make an impact.

With a few savvy additions, the Yankees could easily be trading several cents higher by Opening Day.

Our pick: Judge revives the Yankees offense ('Yes' @ $0.07, Kalshi)

Atlanta Braves to Win World Series: 'Yes' ($0.06)

The Atlanta Braves were one of the league's more complete teams until a bevy of pitching injuries tested their depth.

Chris Sale returns to lead the rotation, and he continues to deliver elite results despite being in his late 30s. Question marks remain in the rotation behind him, but Atlanta has talented arms like Spencer Strider and Spencer Schwellenbach returning from injury. A breakout from JR Ritchie or a return to form from AJ Smith-Shawver would also help.

The bullpen was among the best in baseball last season, and they will return most of their weapons. Closer Raisel Iglesias is a free agent, but Atlanta should have some money to spend.

Ronald Acuna, Matt Olson, and Drake Baldwin should again headline one of the league’s best offenses.

Our pick: Pitching returns to form for the Braves ('Yes' @ $0.06, Kalshi)

Chicago Cubs to Win World Series: 'Yes' ($0.05)

The Chicago Cubs offense ranked near the top of the league in virtually every metric. Pete Crow-Armstrong will take home the NL MVP after a breakout 40-40 season, and Alex Bregman was one of the league’s best hitters in the second half.

The problem? Their pitching staff was one of the worst in baseball. Cade Horton and Ben Brown suffered devastating season-ending injuries, and Justin Steele had a major setback in his attempted return from Tommy John surgery. Closer Daniel Palencia also dealt with multiple injuries that derailed his season.

They will need to build an entire rotation from scratch in a single offseason. Kevin Gausman, Clay Holmes, Matthew Boyd, and Shota Imanaga are all free agents. Horton will be out deep into the 2027 season, and Brown may not be able to handle a starter’s workload after recurring neck issues.

The good news is, the Cubs have loads of money coming off the books and should have plenty to spend. Their owner has been accused of not investing enough in the team in years past, but they did open the purse strings for Bregman last offseason.

A big-time addition like Tarik Skubal, or even Sonny Gray, would likely send the Cubs' price skyrocketing.

Our pick: Cubs spend big on pitching ('Yes' @ $0.05, Kalshi)

If you're looking to jump into offseason trading, consider buying 'Yes' contracts for the Yankees, Braves, and Cubs to hoist the Commissioner's Trophy next October.
