Best World Cup Prediction Markets: This Week's Most Promising Market Trades June 26
Happy Friday! We've got another loaded World Cup slate on Friday with six games on the docket, and the prediction market sites are packed with value. I'm diving into the Spain vs. Uruguay matchup, and I'm also looking at one of the best forwards in the world to score a goal today. Let's check out the best World Cup prediction markets for Friday on Polymarket.
Best World Cup Prediction Markets Today: Friday, June 26
Mikel Oyarzabal over 1.5 shots is trading at 51 cents on Polymarket, and I think that's tremendous value. Spain hasn't officially clinched advancement to the knockout stage yet, but they're in a great spot to do so, and this game is popping out to me.
Just look at Oyarzabal's usage across Spain's first two World Cup games. He fired five shots in each and should be an integral part of the attack if Spain looks to put an exclamation point on their final group-stage match. He's also logged 135 minutes through two games despite Spain's deep roster. It's nice to know he's likely locked in for 60 to 70 minutes to do damage today.
The veteran has already racked up two goals and an assist in two matches for Spain. And his track record at Real Sociedad tells you he's a focal point wherever he plays. This past club season, he poured in 15 goals and four assists across more than 2,700 minutes. The volume is there, and at 51 cents, I'm happy to back him to clear two shots.
Best Trade: Mikel Oyarzabal Over 1.5 Shots — 51¢ (Yes)
World Cup Prediction Markets Today: Erling Haaland to Score
Who's the greatest scorer in the world? Well, there are some obvious answers to that question. However, the torch might be passed soon to a stud who represents Norway. Erling Haaland over 0.5 goals is trading at 31 cents to the Yes on Polymarket, meaning a $10 position returns roughly $30 if he finds the net against France.
France is a dominant force and a heavy favorite in this matchup. But what's sticking out to me is the goal total in this one. Oddsmakers are implying there will be some scoring.
Additionally, Haaland is just unbelievably talented. He is the Norway attack. I think this price is too good, given his world-class ability and how often he should be looking to touch the ball. He's been an absolute monster entering the prime of his career, fresh off a 17-goal Premier League season for Manchester City.
So far in this World Cup, he's been on fire, and he's logged a full 90 minutes in each of Norway's first two games. The longer he's on the pitch, the more chances we have for him to find the back of the net. I'll take the 31 cents.
Best Trade: Erling Haaland Over 0.5 Goals — 31¢ (Yes)
It's about to be a chaotic weekend at the World Cup, so enjoy the games and keep checking for those live trades on Polymarket. Good luck!
