Born in Thailand but now calling the U.S. home, Royal wowed the crowd on Night 1 with a raucous rendition of the White Stripes’ ‘Seven Nation Army’. That was enough to lift her event contract price 15 points to a heavy odds-on $0.95.

Only magician Geno Ploeger and bigger magic group Hundred Fingers have a shot at beating the young rocker. Can they do it?

There are one or two value plays on the ‘AGT 21’ prediction market, both of which revolve around magic.

Hundred Fingers are one of two South Korean groups in the ‘America’s Got Talent’ finale. They combine magic with choreography to create something totally unique. Even panellist Howie Mandel said he would produce a Vegas show for them if they didn’t win ‘AGT’.

Groups have done well on AGT before. But with Nene Royal rocking out on Night 1, the $0.04 on Hundred Fingers seems fair.

Royal Lasers: ‘Yes’ @ $0.02

Royal Lasers are a serious value pick for the ‘America’s Got Talent’ prediction market this season.

True, their price is just $0.02, but that means a tiny risk when compared to the potential reward.

Some fans have complained about the “old and tired” act, but there is a precedent for “light-up crews” doing well on ‘America’s Got Talent’. Fighting Gravity (2010) and iLuminate (2011) all performed well.
