ROLR Review July 2026: Is It Legit?

Written By John Carlo Villaruel , Sports Expert for TheLines.com | Fact Checked by: Caleb Tallman

When we saw that ROLR has a free-to-play $25 million prediction trading challenge, we were instantly intrigued and knew we had to give this interesting new P2P prediction exchange a try. Additionally, what else does it have to offer?

This led us to create a complete ROLR review where we looked at how this unique $25 million challenge worked, and how the site manages to initially offer its prediction trading markets for free. As we dug deeper though, we also looked at other important features like its legitimacy, security, and prediction market variety.

ROLR: Pros and Cons
ROLR: Pros and Cons
  • Stylish website design
  • Current free-to-trade model
  • Amazing potential trading competition
  • Huge range of prediction markets
  • Currently no real money trading

Understanding how ROLR works - a two-phase prediction exchange

Unlike what we found in our DraftKings Predict review, ROLR currently operates in a VERY different way, and it’s important to understand what’s going on here. Essentially, ROLR is doing a soft release, and it is splitting its offering into two distinct phases, which we are calling (originally) phase 1 and 2:

Phase 1 - freeplay prediction trading for the $25 million challenge

Right now, at the time we created this ROLR review, it is essentially in its “freeplay” mode. This means that you cannot currently deposit money, nor can you actually buy and sell trade contracts for predictions with USD. Instead, you are given free credits which are basically a substitute for USD. Credits are available via the following methods:

You can use your credits to buy and sell predictions, and as you will see below, this is all geared towards the Trade Challenge which has the immense $25 million prize pool.

Phase 2 - a complete prediction exchange with USD transactions

At the end of the initial eight week freeplay phase, and when the Trade Challenge is completed, it is assumed that ROLR will complete its hard launch. This is where we expect actual deposits and withdrawals to become available, and the site to essentially switch to a proper real money prediction exchange, where you will be able to buy and sell trade contracts for their superb range of predictions for USD. As of now, it’s a free-to-play prediction trading platform with on-site credits.

ROLR looks to have all the relevant features in place and is legit

Despite it being a freeplay site currently, similar to how we did in our Moomoo review, we still checked out the legitimacy of the brand and its expected operations once it transitions into a full real money exchange, and we found the following:

Firstly, it is a CFTC-regulated exchange, which is vital for operating in the US. We also checked the security and were impressed with the registration process, the transparency relating to how the freeplay site works, and the security features they had like SSL encryption, and ID verification requirements.

Customer support could be improved, and we didn’t actually find anything other than a “How it Works” section, and an FAQ page. Both of these were incredibly detailed, and we were able to easily understand how the site works. BUT, we didn’t find anything like a live chat or email support - perhaps these will be added when the full version of the exchange goes live.

Looking at the diversity of the ROLR prediction markets

Although this is currently a freeplay site, we do have a pretty good idea of the range of predictions it will offer, and unlike the findings from our Sleeper Markets review, we think that ROLR has really nailed it in terms of diversity and quality. At the moment, you can trade the following main prediction categories:

Each of these categories is bursting with different predictions, and we are especially impressed with the crypto, political, and science & weather sections. The prediction markets feature both US-centric and global options to appeal to all types of traders, and there is a good mix of both short and long term markets. We’ve picked out some example predictions in the below table that were live at the time we created this ROLR review:

PredictionYesNo
World Cup Winner (Spain)17c83c
Colombian Presidential Election (Abelardo de la Espriella)87c14c
Ebola case in the US by June 30th?12c89c
What price will Solana hit in June? (Less than 60)55c44c
What will S&P 500 hit in June 2026? (less than $720)75c29c

Trade volume also looks to be pretty high for such a new site, and whenever we used our free credits, we had no trouble getting our trade requests matched and executed.

We also tested the usability of the ROLR website

Like we did in our Coinbase review, we spent time testing the usability of ROLR. Once you get past the incredibly detailed landing page and click on the “markets” link, you can actually see the main layout of the site. It looks great! We like the clean, modern, and minimalistic style of the site, and it’s also cool that you can switch between light or dark modes.

All the main prediction categories are available at the top of the screen, and the individual prediction thumbnails contain all the relevant info you need. The only thing we would like to see are some sub categories for the main prediction sections. For example, it would be nice for the crypto section to have sub categories for the different altcoin predictions it supports.

For mobile trading, we did not yet find a downloadable app. Instead, you just have to use the mobile-browser version of the site, which we think works as good as the full desktop site.

Understanding the ROLR Trade Challenge

The main promotion happening right now at ROLR is the Trade Challenge. This is basically what the entire freeplay version of the site is all about. Anyone who signs up using our banners can enter this challenge, and you will get 1,000 in credits after completing your account registration. The trade Challenge is a multi-stage event, with a potential grand prize of $25 million, with the following terms:

  1. The contest opens on June the 2nd and everyone gets 1,000 credits.
  2. Until June the 26th, the top three traders each week, plus an AMOE entry gain entry to the Finals.
  3. From July the 27th to August the 2nd, the 25 finalists will have to make picks for 7 predictions.
  4. If someone gets all 7 predictions right, they win $25 million.
  5. These other prizes will also be awarded:
  6. Season Champion - $75,000.
  7. Mater Referrer - $5,000.
  8. Monthly Champion - $5,000.
  9. Weekly Top predictor - $1,000.
  10. Daily leader - 500 credits.

We really like this feature as there are plenty of potential ways to get prizes or extra credits, and it just looks like a heap of fun. It’s also interesting to note that they’ve called this Season One, so there is the potential that this challenge could evolve and there could be future iterations of it. We’ve also provided a little more detail about the Trade Challenge in our separate ROLR bonus review.

Our verdict - ROLR has great potential for when it fully launches

While creating his ROLR review, we have been incredibly intrigued by the unique approach this operator has taken to the launch of its prediction exchange. It’s completely different to anything we’ve seen before, and we expect that it will draw a heap of customers in due to the freeplay aspect of the exchange, and the insane $25 million prize pool for the Trade Challenge.

On top of all that though, it does look like when the full version of the site goes live, that it will be one of the top contenders with its low trading fees, and brilliant range of prediction markets that it already offers. If you fancy trying it out for yourself and attempting to shoot up the leaderboards in the Trade Challenge, you can click the banners or links we have here.

ROLR FAQs

✅ Is ROLR legit?
Yes. This is a legitimate prediction exchange and we are happy with what we saw in terms of its operations. It is regulated by the CFTC, has excellent security features, and things like KYC checks in place to protect its customers.
💵 Can you actually buy trade contracts at ROLR for USD?
Not right now. When this ROLR review went live, the site was in its freeplay phase, and you can only buy and sell trade contracts for its predictions using the free credits that you get. It will eventually go into a full USD mode at the end of the initial 8 weeks and when the trade challenge ends.
📱 Is there a ROLR app?
We did not find a ROLR mobile app. We searched the Google Play Store and App Store and found nothing. Additionally, we didn’t see any app links on the ROLR website. Instead, we used the mobile-responsive browser version of the site and this worked perfectly on our smartphones.
🌎 Where is ROLR available in the US?
At this point in time, due to the freeplay nature of the exchange, it does not seem to have any state restrictions, and it should be available in all 50 states. This could change when the full version of the site goes live though.
