Prophet X is a prediction exchange platform. This means that you can trade contracts on the outcomes of real life events. The contracts are presented in a binary Yes/No format and you’ll take a position based on whether or not you think an event will occur. Each outcome will be displayed with a percentage that indicates the market’s current perception of the event occurring. Here’s an example to illustrate:

You can then purchase contracts on either the Yes or the No outcome with the percentage directly representing the cost of your share. So, if you were to purchase a single Yes contract you’d be paying 62 cents for this.
Winning contracts are paid out at a flat $1 rate while losing contracts settle at $0 and you lose your investment.
What kind of contracts can you trade at Prophet X?
The main trading category we found on the site is sports. Here you’ll be able to trade event contracts across popular sports such as football, tennis, hockey, and baseball. During our review we found active markets for leagues like the NFL, the NHL, and the NBA as well as some more niche options like golf, UFC and Formula 1 races.
We also found some solid options to trade on live events allowing you to get in on the action as it unfolds in real time. At the time of writing we found numerous live markets for the current ATP Challenger Tour, for instance.
Aside from that, we also found a small selection of event contracts related to politics. At the time of writing, these were the able political markets to trade on:

Prophet X will then need you to confirm your identity before you can fund your new account. That means supplying to them your address, birth date, photo ID, and a live selfie. You’re not required to provide your SSN, or link a bank account to finish the registration process, although you’ll need to go through further verification checks for withdrawals. We also found a similar process to this during our ADI Predictstreet review, which furthered our impression that both brands work above board and in line with CFTC regulations.
What’s the bonus offer at Prophet X?
The welcome bonus is directly tied to your first real trade on the platform. Fund your account and make a qualifying trade of $50, and Prophet X will reward you with an extra $75 in trading credits. TWe appreciated that you only need to make a $1 minimum deposit to get started. However, your qualifying trade of $50 needs to be made on event contracts with a probability of 80% or lower and you’ll need to meet the trading requirement within 30 days of account registration.
Instead of collecting the entire bonus all at once, the $75 in trading credits is paid out to you in 3 separate installments of $25 across 14 days. It is not immediately withdrawable and must be used on trades at least once before you can cash it out.
Navigating Prophet X – overall usability
Those of you who have used Prophet X during the brand’s social sportsbook days will instantly feel familiar with the setup. Leagues are featured on the left side of the screen, with games shown in the center, and a trade panel on the right so you can place your order.
We also appreciated the built-in walkthroughs and practice trades that explain how settlement works, how prices can switch as others start trading on the same event, and how to exit positions early. Similar to what we found in our Plus500 review, the order book is also neat and you’ll find all trades and possible fees displayed clearly.
Is Prophet X available on mobile?
Yes! Prophet X features native apps for both iOS and Android devices that you can download via their respective app stores. On the mobile app, a bar splits things between home, sports, a refer-a-friend tab, your open trades, and an account settings menu.
When you check the sports tab, you’ll find markets ranked by trading volume. Click on a price and you’ll jump straight to your trade panel where you can choose your contract and confirm the transaction. The app itself ran smoothly and we did not experience any lag during our tests.
How can you fund your account on Prophet X?
Funding your account on Prophet X is pretty straightforward. For the majority of traders, Aeropay is likely the easiest route. It links to your bank account and only needs a $10 minimum to get started. Trustly is also available to use as a second fast banking option.
Larger volume traders have a wire transfer option, although this also comes with a $1,000 minimum on deposits and a $5,000 minimum for withdrawals. In our experience, withdrawals process almost instantly, though only if you’ve completed all additional ID verification checks beforehand. We experienced a similar process during our Gemini Predictions review where you have to verify your identity and residency first before you are able to request a withdrawal.
How good is customer support at Prophet X?
Support options on Prophet X are more varied than what you might find on a number of newer prediction platforms. You’ll be able to reach the support team via email, live chat, and even a dedicated phone hotline. When we tested out the live chat with a query about payment options, a human agent got back to us within a few minutes.
However, live chat support isn’t available 24/7, so outside of these hours it might be more useful to check out the FAQ section. It’s split into a few different categories including account setup, payments, rules about markets, and responsible gaming info and we found there to be lots of accessible information on some of traders’ most pressing queries right up front.
Regulation and security at Prophet X - is it safe?
Prophet X runs under oversight of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), having received approval as both a Designated Contract Market and a Derivatives Clearing Organization. This means the brand covers trading, settlements, and clearing internally, making it widely available across the US.
Further, the website employs secure SSL protocols to safeguard your personal and financial information and you’ll find a host of guides and tools that can help you have a safe trading experience. Of course, trading always carries some risk with it so we recommend you evaluate your budget first and only trade with funds that you can comfortably lose.
VIP rewards and additional promotions at Prophet X
While we did find a VIP program at Prophet X, the details on the available tiers or rewards are not yet made public. From what we learned through the site’s customer support the brand does offer VIP status to traders selectively based on recent trading volume and site activity. From there you could then benefit from priority support, better fee structures and additional promotions. Arguably, this is a bit scarce and we would like to see a better fleshed out loyalty program added in the future.
On a lighter note, we did find a referral bonus that can be accessed by all traders. This Prophet X bonus actually rewards you as well as your friend and you could both unlock $25 in trading credit each if your friend signs up through your link and places at least $50 in eligible trades within 30 days of opening their account. What’s more, the rewards actually increase the more people you refer. So, for your second successful referral you’ll receive $30 in trading credits, for your third this will be $35, and so on.
Closing thoughts – Prophet X is solid for sports predictions
Prophet X stacks up well against competing prediction markets due to its intuitive app that is incredibly easy to pick up and get started with. If you’re a trader who cares mostly about sports outcomes then this is a great place to begin. If you’re looking to trade on culture or crypto, however, you might want to look elsewhere.
