Onyx Predictions Review 2026: Is It Legit?

Written By Gareth Hinton , Sports Writer

Onyx Predictions is a new peer-2-peer prediction exchange that will launch imminently, and we are taking a look at what it could potentially offer when it goes live in the Onyx Predictions review below.

It’s important to remember that this new P2P prediction exchange is from the same company that has created Onyx Odds, so there’s already some existing reputation and trust. Regardless, we’ll look at the new site objectively from the legal and security aspects to bonuses and promotions and see what predictions and other features it offers, plus give our initial recommendations.

Onyx Predictions: Pros & Cons
  • High-quality app
  • Full company transparency
  • Solid range of prediction categories
  • Low trading fees
  • Not live yet in the US

Do we trust the Onyx Predictions brand?

The first step, similar to what we did in our Gemini Predictions review, is to look at what is expected in terms of trust, legitimacy, and the core features that this P2P prediction exchange will offer.

Regulatory oversight

Onyx Predictions is available in the US, and we expect it to be accessible in 45 states, although prediction regulations are changing frequently. Additionally, operates under regulatory oversight from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), and is a registered member of the NFA (National Futures Association).

In terms of the parent company, Onyx Predictions is owned and operated by Tsos Technologies Inc., which is a registered technology company. We found all of this regulatory and company information on the initial Onyx Predictions landing page, so this is verifiable.

Security and transparency

From the initial snippets we’ve had, the desktop website and mobile apps should have industry-standard security features including SSL encryption, HTTPS connectivity, and geoblocking to prevent access from outside the US. When we wrote this Onyx Predictions review, there was an active SSL certificate from Google Trust Services already.

Based on our findings from the Onyx Odds sister site, we assume there will be a robust KYC process where traders have to fully verify their ID before being able to access all of the site’s features. Lastly, for transparency, there are already details relating to regulatory oversight, general terms and conditions, and a privacy policy.

Customer support options

Onyx Predictions currently has email support via a simple mailto link on the landing page. We tested this four times, and on each occasion, we got a reply within 24 hours. This could be quicker, but it’s still in line with our experiences from other prediction exchanges, such as what we found in our Plus500 review.

Hopefully there will be a live chat too, offering a more direct support option, and we’ve noticed that the operator has active profiles on Instagram and X, which can also be used as customer support outlets.

Payment methods

To be able to trade predictions at this platform, you will need to deposit funds into your account. Based on our findings with the sister site Onyx Odds, there’s every likelihood that it will support common payment methods such as credit cards, debit cards, PayPal, Trustly, and MuchBetter. Whether or not crypto will also be supported remains to be seen.

In addition, we do not want to see any deposit or withdrawal fees, and we hope that they will allow relatively low minimum payments to appeal to both casual and high-volume traders.

What markets can we expect for Onyx Predictions?

Next we must consider the potential prediction markets and trade contracts Onyx Predictions will host. We have seen snippets of some of the categories, and things look promising - it’s definitely not going to be a niche exchange, but instead cover a broad range of popular events and sports markets like what we found in our Meta Arena review.

We presume all the major prediction categories are covered

Based on our assessment of other general prediction exchanges, it’s safe to say that Onyx Predictions will feature the following categories:

Now, we have seen proof of this already with several app snippets, and culture, politics, finance, companies, and economics will certainly be a part of their offering.

It does look like they will concentrate more on event predictions, though, as opposed to sports, but we would be surprised if there wasn’t a dedicated sports category because of the information they will already have access to from the sister site Onyx Odds.

Based on the information we have, it appears that the site will utilize the common yes/no format for trade contracts, and we expect that you will be able to customize how the trade contract prices are displayed.

We expect low trading fees and high trading volume

For Onyx Predictions to be successful, it needs to have low trading fees that are in line with industry averages. Right now, most peer-2-peer prediction sites charge no more than $0.02 per transaction, and oftentimes the fee is variable depending on the price of the trade contract and other factors like whether you are placing a maker or taker order.

We expect Onyx Odds to follow these guidelines, giving customers the chance to still make a potential return from their trades. In terms of volume, this is unknown - it depends on whether or not Onyx Predictions is getting their events from a third-party provider (in which case trade volume will be high), or they are creating their own markets, in which case trade volume will solely depend on their customer base and user engagement. Either way, they need to offer high liquidity to keep an active and enticing order book.

Will there be an Onyx Predictions mobile app?

With our ADI Predictstreet review, we found a fantastic desktop website, and from what we’ve seen of the Onyx Predictions landing page, we presume the same here. On top of that, Onyx Odds already has two downloadable mobile apps, so we presume that this technology will be used to create Onyx Prediction apps too.

Onyx already operates a mobile app

Onyx Odds, the sister social sportsbook to this new P2P platform, has an Android and iOS mobile app and they have decent ratings from the App Store and Google Play Store. Because of this, we assume that the parent company will simply utilize the same technology, or even the same app design, and produce apps for Onyx Predictions.

There is also the potential that the Onyx Odds app will be adapted to include the prediction exchange, allowing customers to sign up and use the different versions of the site with one account and one app.

The desktop website should look superb

The current Onyx Predictions landing page uses a clean, modern, and stylish design. It has a black, purple, white, and pink color scheme, with great use of spacing so it doesn’t feel cluttered. We expect a similar style and theme for the prediction exchange when it goes live, together with simple navigation and great technical performance.

It’s important that the different prediction markets are logically organized, and that traders can easily find the markets they want to engage with. Looking at the Onyx Odds sister site, it’s also clear that they will make the different customer support options visible, plus offer a simple account management setup.

Do we expect any Onyx Predictions promotions?

We’ve given additional information in our Onyx Predictions bonus guide, but we’ll go over our basic assumptions and findings here too. There could be a welcome bonus for new customers, but please be aware that these are currently not common for peer-2-peer prediction sites. Out of the sites we have tested, we estimate that around 20% have signup offers - it’s just not the done thing.

Still, if there were to be a sign-up bonus, it would most likely be a deposit match bonus for your first deposit, or a trading bonus unlocked after you hit a specific trading milestone with your new account.

Through our experience with P2P prediction exchanges, other existing player bonuses and features could include:

Looking at the sister site Onyx Odds, they have a good track record with promotions, so we expect Onyx Predictions to also be generous with what they offer.

Our verdict - Onyx Predictions looks promising

We appreciate that we haven't been able to give much concrete or new evidence from this Onyx Predictions review, but what we have seen is positive. The mobile apps should be great; there looks to be a diverse collection of prediction markets, including culture and politics, and from our experiences with Onyx Odds, the underlying core features will give customers a smooth trading experience.

In terms of promotions, that is yet to be seen, but if Onyx Odds is anything to go by, we can at least expect some type of welcome bonus, and perhaps future trading rewards or a referral program. If you want to learn more and are interested in signing up when the site goes live, make sure you bookmark this page and click the relevant banners here when available.
