An overview of the Ripple 15 minute prediction market

Ripple prediction markets feature short-term events that let you predict if the price of XRP will trade above or below a certain target at the end of a given period, in this case, 15 minutes.

You should take note that you’re not buying actual XRP tokens or investing in them. Instead, you’re buying one of these binary contracts:

1. Up contract: You think XRP will trade above a target price at the end of 15 minutes
2. Down contract: You think XRP price will trade below a target price at the end of 15 minutes

Whichever you purchase, the market settles your contracts at $1 if you’re correct and at $0 if you’re wrong.

Here’s an example to help you better understand this concept:

XRP 15 min: $2.45 target

Up? (60¢) / Down? (40¢)

What it’s essentially asking is that, in the next 15 minutes, will XRP trade above $2.45 (Up) or below $2.45 (Down)?

As you have noticed, the Up contract price is 60¢. That’s because the market (buyers and sellers) collectively agrees that there’s a 60% chance that XRP will trade above the target price.

All you have to do now is choose which contract to buy. Once you make a purchase, you can follow along as the dashboard shows real-time movement of XRP price, accompanied by a countdown timer. As XRP’s price fluctuates in real time, contract prices adjust accordingly.

Once the 15-minute cycle ends, the “Up” and “Down” contracts will be resolved based on whether the asset traded above or below the target price. This is also in the same case as Ripple 5-minute prediction, just shorter.

During our assessments, we discovered that this market is less liquid than Bitcoin’s or Ethereum's 15-minute markets. However, it has enough volume to execute Up or Down contracts without any hiccups.

Robinhood: An investment platform that lets you trade crypto contracts

Robinhood started as a stock and cryptocurrency trading platform, and is familiar to many US customers. It has added prediction markets to its products to meet the interests of contract traders in the country.

Like other operators, it allows users to predict potential price movements for major crypto assets such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple, Solana, and Dogecoin. However, we didn’t find a Ripple 15 minute prediction market. You can only trade daily or yearly contracts for the asset on Robinhood.

Underdog: A top daily fantasy site with a prediction market product

Underdog is well-established in the daily fantasy sports (DFS) space, but it also offers crypto prediction markets via Underdog Predict. Its event contracts are supplied by the Crypto.com | Derivatives North America (CDNA) exchange and are regulated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).

Underdog allows users to trade on outcomes of real-world events in sports, politics, economics, and pop culture across 33 US states. Ineligible regions include Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, West Virginia, and Wyoming.

However, it doesn’t offer the 15-minute crypto contract markets we found on Polymarket or Kalshi. That said, the platform is easy to use and lets you settle in quickly. If you’re interested in trying Underdog Predict, first check availability in your state before signing up.

PrizePicks: Another DFS platform that lets you trade real-world event contracts

Like Underdog, PrizePicks is primarily a DFS platform that offers over/under predictions on player props in selected sports events. Recently, it unveiled its prediction market product, PrizePicks Predict. It splits trading real-world events contracts into two categories: Team Picks (sports) and Culture Picks (pop culture, politics, cryptocurrency, climate, and economy).

Right now, PrizePicks Predict doesn’t offer ultra-short crypto event contracts. You’ll have to make do with the traditional markets, where you buy an event contract and wait to see how it resolves.
