The fifth-year interior lineman reunites with Mitch Trubisky after bouncing around between the center and guard position during his time in Chicago.
Daniels projects to play the right guard position this year, barring any injuries to someone along the interior of the line. The 24-year-old out of Iowa played 1,121 snaps at right guard for the Bears last year and earned a 72.9 run blocking grade from PFF, a massive upgrade in the run game. Last year’s right guard for the Steelers, Trai Turner, only had a 67.6 run blocking grade from PFF in a total of 380 run blocking snaps.
The Steelers as a team received a 60.2 run blocking grade from Pro Football Focus last year, making them the 24th-rated run blocking team in the league.
