DraftKings Boosts Philadelphia Eagles’ Super Bowl Odds To 100-1

The NFL playoffs are finally here, and surprising to some, so are the Philadelphia Eagles. The Birds won four straight divisional games to claim the NFC East and will host Seattle in the Wild Card round this Sunday.

The odds don’t look great for the Eagles. While Carson Wentz is finally healthy for the postseason, not many of his teammates are. However, if you’re feeling brave, DraftKings Sportsbook has a tempting deal.

For those in Pennsylvania, all you need to do is opt-in and get a +10000 (100-to-1) odds boost on the Eagles to win the 2020 NFL Championship. The bet limit is $5, which means a run to the Lombardi trophy would net a cool $500.

The Eagles are listed between +3000 and +4000 at most books around the country, so there’s plenty of value built into this promotion.

DraftKings recently launched in PA and has made some pretty nice deals for the players. This one is very generous, offering the home team backers 100-to-1 on the championship win. All you need to do it be located in Pennsylvania to access the deal, opt-in, and bet $5 or less by 4:35 p.m. on Sunday.

Can the Eagles do it?

Philly is looking to make it two Super Bowl wins in three years. They’ll need to do so without their top three wide receivers, an all-Pro guard, multiple defenders, and, well, we’re not even sure who’s able to play Sunday.

The Eagles will have to beat a Seattle team that already defeated them at the Linc in Week 12, 17-9. Wentz committed four of the team’s five turnovers in the loss and the offense couldn’t string together a dominant drive.

However, the Seahawks aren’t the same team either. They have brought back Marshawn Lynch because their top three running backs are injured. Seattle gashed Philly on the ground in the win, allowing more time for Russell Wilson to deliver throws downfield.

Wilson didn’t look magical in November, throwing a pick and absorbing six sacks. Without starting tackle Duane Brown, he’s vulnerable to an improved Eagles edge rush.

Philly will have Jordan Howard in the running back rotation, someone missing in Week 12. He can keep the offense on schedule and go after a weak rush defense.

The Eagles aren’t favored in the Wild Card round. They’ve not been favored in a playoff game since Doug Pederson coached his first postseason game. Since then, they’re 4-1 SU.

Should the Eagles advance, they’ll travel on a shorter week to San Francisco. They’ll also be able to activate DeSean Jackson, who looks ready to go.

The Niners are a difficult matchup for the Birds. They’ve got great speed on both sides and can dominate the line of scrimmage. Philly will have the advantage in experience and certainly learn some things should they defeat Seattle.

San Fran may be too big a hill for the Eagles to overcome. However, should they pull the upset on the road, they might become the most dangerous team in the final four. If they can beat the physical and fast Niners, they should match up well against any remaining foes.

It’s not as clear a path to glory as existed two Januarys ago. They don’t have home field beyond this round unless the Vikings pull two upsets. However, at 100-1 for $5, it’s worth a shot. Fly Eagles, fly.
