Phil Mickelson had the golf world buzzing Sunday after winning the PGA Championship, and he had the sports betting world buzzing too. You had to go way, way down the board to find odds for a Phil Mickelson PGA Championship win before the start of the tournament.

Mickelson became the oldest player to ever win a major championship at 50-years-old. That broke the record for the oldest PGA Championship winner set by Julius Boros (48 years, 142 days) in 1968.

His age combined with missing the cut in eight of his 14 PGA TOUR events this year with zero top-20 finishes made him an afterthought for all but a lucky few bettors.
