PGA Picks This Week - Saturday Update

We've made it to the weekend at the 2026 Masters, and everyone's PGA picks this week may have been flipped upside down. Rory McIlroy has been six strokes better than the rest of the field and will tee off as the leader at 2:50 p.m. EST on Saturday. With McIlroy in cruise control, some intriguing betting markets have opened up heading into Round 3. Let's break down the best Masters picks today.

PGA Picks This Week: The Masters Round 3 Bets

One of the most interesting markets this weekend is the "Winner Without Rory McIlroy" offered on BetMGM and FanDuel Sportsbook. Your pick can either win the tournament outright or finish second behind McIlroy and still cash. Given how far ahead Rory is, this is a much sharper way to play the board rather than betting on juiced McIlroy outright odds.

Two names stand out among the Masters picks this week in this market: Justin Rose at +700 and Cameron Young at +900 on FanDuel Sportsbook.

Masters Pick Today: Justin Rose

Justin Rose is currently five under and one stroke shy of second place behind McIlroy. Per Data Golf, Rose led the entire field in Strokes Gained: Approach across the first two rounds — meaning he's been crushing his iron shots, which is arguably the most important metric at Augusta.

He's also sixth in SG: Tee to Green. The most impressive part? He's the only golfer in the top 15 who has lost more than one stroke putting compared to the field, and he still finds himself at T-4. Putting is volatile, and if Rose sees a few more drop on Saturday, he has a chance to have a monster round with the way he's striking the ball. This makes him one of the more reasonable live PGA picks this week at +700.

Masters Pick Today: Cameron Young

Cameron Young started slow in Round 1 and caught fire in Round 2. According to Data Golf, he's picked up 3.08 strokes gained on approach, 2.3 strokes off the tee, and 5.89 strokes tee to green.

Pretty much everything is clicking except the putter. Young is at -0.05 strokes putting, which is essentially neutral. If one or two more putts start to fall, Young could have a huge third round and put himself in position to hit this market when the dust settles on Sunday. At +900, he's one of my favorite Masters picks Saturday.

Masters Picks Saturday: Matchup Bets

For a Round 3 head-to-head matchup prop, I'm looking at the Patrick Cantlay vs. Sungjae Im 2-ball on BetMGM. I like Cantlay at -125 to outscore Im on Saturday.

Sungjae Im has picked up nearly four strokes putting on the field this tournament. He's actually lost Strokes Gained: Approach, which is a red flag. That putting number would mark the most strokes he's gained on the greens in any tournament this year, and I'm considering it an outlier.

It would be hard for him to stay that hot. According to Data Golf, Im's approach game hasn't been sharp, but his putting has been bailing him out. That might not be sustainable.

Cantlay, on the other hand, has been phenomenal ball-striking. Per Data Golf, he's picked up 4.65 SG: Approach and a massive 6.85 strokes T2G. He's lost about a stroke putting, but I'll favor the guy who is hitting the ball well and giving himself better proximity to the hole.

As the weekend plays out, the ball-strikers tend to separate. I'll back Cantlay's iron game over Im's hot putter as one of the sharper Masters picks today.
