How much has sports betting in the US changed in just one year?  Take a look at Pat McAfee.

Last year at this time, the former Indianapolis Colts punter turned popular media personality was promoting an offshore sportsbook operating illegally in the States.

Today, McAfee has made the switch to FanDuel, a legal US sportsbook operator.

FanDuel and McAfee

The new multi-year partnership makes FanDuel the exclusive sports betting, daily fantasy sports, casino, and horse racing partner of Pat McAfee.

What does this mean for FanDuel customers? To begin, a FanDuel odds boost promotion was immediately available on the total of the Sept. 16 Monday Night Football game, inspired by the rough start for his former teammate, Adam Vinatieri. For what it’s worth, as of McAfee said he wasn’t sure if Vinatieri would retire after missing two field goals and three extra points in the first two games of the season.

“More Ways To Win”

In addition to promotions, McAfee will make weekly appearances on FanDuel’s “More Ways to Win” TV show. The show is hosted by former ESPN SportsCenter anchor Lisa Kerney, former LA Rams and Seattle Seahawks reporter Dani Klupenger, TVG’s Dave Weaver, and FanDuel Sportsbook Oddsmaker John Sheeran.

In addition to his “More Ways to Win” appearances, McAfee will appear on various FanDuel podcasts, make regular appearances at FanDuel Sportsbooks, host daily fantasy contests on FanDuel, and take over FanDuel social media accounts throughout the NFL season.

“More Ways to Win” airs Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays during the NFL season from 10 am-noon ET. The show is available on TVG Television Network (DirecTV, Comcast, Spectrum, and more) and Watch TVG App (Roku, Amazon Fire, Apple TV). The show also streams at FanDuel and snippets are available on social media platforms.

FanDuel Sportsbook expanding

FanDuel started as a DFS company but it rapidly becoming one of the biggest sportsbook operators in the US. The first NJ sportsbook FanDuel opened was at The Meadowlands across from MetLife Stadium where the Jets and Giants play in New Jersey

FanDuel’s retail and PA online sportsbook at Valley Forge Casino has quickly become one of the most popular in the state. More than a third of the wagers placed in Pennsylvania were with FanDuel in August.

FanDuel is also operating online and retail in West Virginia, and the company just opened retail sportsbooks in Iowa and Indiana as well.
