GERMANY LIKELY XI

Manager Hansi Flick will implement the same tactics and playing style that won him seven trophies in 18 months at Bayern Munich. Expect to see Germany playing a high defensive line with captain Manuel Neuer sweeping up the danger. The front three will play an intense high press, hoping to force opposition defenders into mistakes and steal possession. Don’t be surprised if Joshua Kimmich partners Leon Goretzka in central midfield. These two are one of the best double-pivots in the game and could be the difference in Qatar. With no standout candidate available to play right wing-back, Flick could use Kimmich in that position and start ilkay Gündogan, Toni Kroos, or Florian Neuhaus in the middle of the pitch. germany world cup odds
