Belgium World Cup Odds 2026: Get the Latest Belgium Odds

Written By Chris Kubala | Last Updated at June 9, 2026

When we started looking at the Belgium World Cup odds we didn't get an overwhelming sense of confidence, that’s for sure. Right now, the odds are set at +3300 for Belgium to be the Outright Winner of this tournament.

Just for context, this means that there’s an implied probability of about 3% that they go all the way. However, that doesn’t mean that there aren’t plenty of opportunities to make profitable wagers. Sports fans can also consider social sportsbooks and prediction markets depending on where they’re based. We’d recommend looking at other odds that don’t focus on Belgium as outright winner.

This is a side that has considerable talent, but the once-dubbed "Golden Generation" has faded in recent years, with the likes of Romelu Lukaku and Kevin de Bruyne both now past their primes.

Belgium's World Cup Fixtures

Belgium are the top seeds in Group G and have one of the most favourable sets of fixtures amongst the top sides.

Their toughest match is likely to be first up against Egypt on June 15th in Seattle. They then face Iran in Los Angeles six days later before wrapping up against New Zealand on June 27th.

Egypt are one of the strongest African sides at the 2026 World Cup but Belgium should still have too much for them. Iran and New Zealand should also be light work for a Belgian outfit that is packed with experience.

Winning this group is the minimum expectation and they should do it without dropping a point.

How Far Will Belgium Go in the World Cup?

There has been great expectations on Belgium for a number of years, but they have invariably underachieved at major tournaments despite a crop of world class talent.

The likes of Eden Hazard and Vincent Kompany have moved on, and while there are some promising youngsters coming up, they don't quite have the same star quality as years gone by.

But they will be a stern test for any side in the knockout rounds and a quarter-final run is well within their powers.

Let's take a look at Belgium's exit odds for all stages of the knockout rounds.

Top Social Sportsbooks for Belgium's World Cup Betting Odds

Since real-money sportsbooks aren't available in every state, social sportsbooks have popped up as alternatives to standard sports betting. These work in a similar way to social casino, where you can still have the same sort of fun by making predictions on your favorite sports, but instead of using money from your bank, you play with virtual currencies.

These virtual currencies are usually named some variation of Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins. Gold Coins are used just for fun, and can be bought in GC packages if your balance is looking low (although this is totally optional). Sweeps Coins operate a little differently, unlike Gold Coins, these Sweeps Coins can be redeemed for real world prizes, but they can never be bought.

Top Prediction Markets for Belgium's World Cup Betting Odds

Predictions markets have taken the US by storm since they launched. They aren't the same as sports betting or even placing social wagers. Instead, members of the predictions platform can 'make trades' based on the outcome on many different topics including economics, politics, and (for those of you who are interested in the World Cup prediction markets) sport.

Prediction markets work by members trading contracts on possible world events. These are done in a yes/no format, so the wording of the prediction is very precise to leave no room for ambiguity. Rather than being affected by mathematically deciphered probability, these prices are influenced by popularity so are likely to differ from traditional sportsbooks as they don't work in the same manner.

Kalshi - Many Prediction Markets Available for the World Cup

Whether you want to trade contracts on whether Belgium will win the World Cup 2026 or prefer more niche predictions such as which round they will be eliminated at, who will make the squad, goal scorers and many more. The platform allows you to buy or sell a trade based on the yes or no outcome of the event. So, for example, if you think Belgium will win the world cup, you buy a trade on 'yes' and the platform estimates your profit for if the prediction is correct.

As there's no room for confusion in prediction markets, the app and desktop version have been made so they are easy to navigate and laid out in a manner that's simple to understand. If it's the World Cup predictions that have piqued your interest, you can head straight there by clicking 'sports' at the top menu and selecting 'World Cup' from the navigation down the left hand side.

So if you’re looking to make trades based on predictions surrounding how well Belgium will do in the World Cup, there’s bound to be something that catches your eye on this platform.

Will Belgium win the World Cup?

Well, any team has a chance of winning the World Cup, it’s all down to who plays at their best on the day. This is always the case whether we’re discussing Germany World Cup odds or another team. The 2026 World Cup will be Belgium’s 15th appearance in this tournament, and qualifying is a huge achievement in itself. However, it would be slightly unfair to say that their chances are huge given that their team has failed to deliver on the world stage in recent years. Belgium seem to be great at getting to the tournaments, but then not delivering the goods when the chips are down, as it were.

Belgium were actually completely unbeaten in the qualifying round for the 2026 World Cup, which goes to show that they’re very capable of performing at this high level. They just don’t seem to be able to translate that into the World Cup. Belgium haven’t lost a qualifying game since 2009…which just begs the question, why do they perform so well in qualifying and then not so well when it really matters?

The Belgium squad seem to be in a bit of a transition period at the moment, as they’re now managed by Rudi Garcia. This World Cup will be Garcia’s first time in this international tournament, so we’ll have to wait and see how it goes. One of the key things holding Belgium back from being a real threat to the top contenders is their habit for underachieving when it matters most.

What are the odds of Belgium winning the World Cup?

Let’s talk about the chances that Belgium will actually win the World Cup in terms of numbers. Now the exact odds can depend on where you look, just like when we discussed France World Cup odds. This is likely because the tournament hasn’t started yet. Once the first games get underway, the odds will start updating in real time based on player and overall team performance.

Currently the odds of Belgium winning the World Cup are set at 33/1, which means that the sportsbook believes the likelihood of them winning is very low. We checked 10 different sportsbooks to ensure that it wasn’t a fluke and alas, they all have the same odds. Specifically, the implied probability of these odds is less than 3%, so none of the platforms are feeling particularly confident about Belgium’s chances here.

Key players to improve Belgium’s World Cup odds

Even though Belgium really isn’t considered to be one of the top contenders for winning the World Cup, their team is very capable of pulling out some great performances. The team's chances largely rest on whether the more experienced players can still perform at their highest potential, despite numerous injuries and them being fairly close to retirement.

Kevin De Bruyne

De Bruyne remains one of Belgium’s most influential players, but a recent string of injuries has taken the pep out of his step. Despite this, his passing range and ability to take control of the games are still some of the best among all international soccer players. For Belgium to threaten for position, De Bruyne will need to stay fighting fit throughout the tournament and create chances for his teammates from midfield.

There’s a lot of concern around whether De Bruyne will be able to handle the physical demands of the tournament, especially given there will be even more games to play this season. But as we always say, tournaments are won by teams, not star players.

Thibaut Courtois

When Courtois is at his peak physical condition, he’s one of the strongest goalkeepers in any tournament. If Courtois can play at his absolute best, then he’s absolutely capable of giving even the strongest offensive players a run for their money (or their trophy as it were).

Goalkeepers are crucial during knockout stages because games are frequently decided on extra time and most importantly, penalties. Courtois has already proven that he’s very capable of holding his nerve on some of the biggest stages, so he could once again be Belgium’s top player.

Romelu Lukaku

Lukaku is Belgium’s all time top goalscorer so he’s definitely going to be a key player in Belgium’s bid for top position (check the Golden Boot odds). Despite the criticism that he received during some games and tournaments, Lukaku’s international record is fairly strong.

If Belgium is going to somehow beat all the odds stacked against them, then Lukaku’s going to need to score consistently throughout all of the games they play. Now the question really here is whether he can do this against some of the best defensive players in the world as we already know this has been a challenge in previous tournaments.

Jeremy Doku

Doku could be the wild card that pushes Belgium advance beyond the group rounds and into the knockouts. He’s very strong 1-on-1 with defenders which is a rare skill indeed and one that he’s definitely going to need going into the World Cup. If Doku continues to show the strength and quick decision making he’s been demonstrating over the last year, he could come out as Belgium’s breakout star. Did someone say Player of the Year?

Leandro Trossard

We often feel like Trossard doesn’t quite get the recognition that he deserves, especially compared to some of the more seasoned players on the team. He’s grown immensely in the past few months, identifying attacking opportunities with some pretty solid results.

Trossard is a key player in supporting Lukaku and De Bruyne, and it’s clear that all three of them are going to need to bring their A game. Trossard also has a unique ability to play in multiple positions which could prove very useful in this long tournament where managers are going to be looking to rest their star players whenever possible.

Can Belgium really outperform their World Cup odds?

Right now, the World Cup odds do suggest that Belgium are very much the outsiders in this race for the World Cup trophy. However, knockout rounds are always unpredictable, and the Belgium team does pack a lot in terms of experienced players and emerging talent. If the veterans of the team like De Bruyne, Courtois, and Lukaku stay injury free, combined with the fresh energy of Doku, then they could have enough to defy expectations. But they’re going to have to give it all they’ve got because there are some seriously impressive teams in this tournament who all want to win.

Belgium’s World Cup History

For a team that has never actually won the World Cup, Belgium has a surprisingly strong history with the tournament. Belgium first played in the World Cup back in 1930 and this year will mark their 15th tournament. As we mentioned a little bit earlier, Belgium have this reputation for being able to qualify for major tournaments but then just seem to struggle to deliver when the expectations kick in.

However, that all changed in 2018 because this was the year that Belgium finally kept that qualification performance going and made it to the semi finals. The likes of Kevin De Bruyne, Eden Hazard and Romelu Lukaku were all part of this star team, proving that they can indeed perform when needed. Sadly they narrowly missed the chance to play in the final when they were defeated by France, who then went on to win. The 2018 semi finals remains the closest that Belgium has ever come to winning the title.

Belgium World Cup betting markets to watch

Even if Belgium taking the World Cup trophy home is a longshot, there are still plenty of ways to bet on this team. Since Belgium are viewed more as underdogs with a long shot rather than sure favorites, there’s likely going to be better value in making wagers other than Outright Winner. This is an important point to highlight that just because we’re not talking about Portugal World Cup odds, doesn’t mean there aren’t lots of betting opportunities.

Belgium Betting MarketsDetailsOdds
Group Qualification Yes/NoBet on Belgium to advance beyond the group stages and into the knockout rounds1/33 Yes
14/1 No

Belgium To Reach Round 16Bet on Belgium to make it to through to the final 16 teams4/5
Belgium To Reach Semi FinalsBet on Belgium to make it to the final four teams11/2

Group Qualification Yes/No

This market allows more cautious bettors to decide whether or not you think Belgium will simply qualify out of the initial group stages. When we take a look at the odds for Belgium to advance beyond the group qualifiers, this is where we can see that strong qualifying track record. Currently the odds are 1/33 for Yes and 14/1 for No, which means that the implied probability of them qualifying from their group is 97.1%.

Belgium To Win Group

This market is another solid choice for Belgium as you’ll be backing them to come top in Group G. In this case, there is likely to be more value than outright qualification betting. The sportsbooks are definitely backing Belgium in this case, as the odds of them finishing top of their group is 4/11. In comparison, the odds for the rest of the group are Egypt 9/2, Iran 6/1, and New Zealand 20/1. Similar to the Group F World Cup odds, there are some notable differences between the teams. All of this means that the implied probability of Belgium finishing top of their group is around 73.3%.

Conclusion - Belgium World Cup odds aren’t looking great

Just because Belgium are a long shot for winning that World Cup title, doesn’t mean that there isn’t plenty of value to be found in the World Cup betting markets. The Belgium team are stronger contenders for getting through the group stages and making it to the knockout rounds. And you never know, if top players like De Bruyne, Lukaku, Doku pull career defining performances out of the bag, then they could make it even further. Since 2018 they made it to the semi finals in 2018, Belgium have been itching for another chance to play for the World Cup trophy.

We can’t wait to see how it plays out in June. To explore the latest Belgium markets and odds, click any of the banners on this page to get started.
