Boston College Team Notes
- Starting QB Thomas Castellanos was replaced late in the season and hit the transfer portal. BC went 2-1 outright without him.
- ACC Defensive Player of the Year Donovan Ezeiruaku opted out of this game.
- Both starting linebackers went down to injury in Week 8 and Week 11 and haven't played since.
Nebraska Team Notes
- Breaks the longest Power Conference streak without a bowl, last making the postseason in 2016.
- Defensive coordinator Tony White leaves for Florida State, Dana Holgorsen–who took over offensive play calling a few games ago–will be the offensive coordinator for this game and moving forward.
- The offensive line dealt with injury all year. The Huskers are down to their third option at left tackle.
Pinstripe Bowl betting
Last year, Rutgers (-1.5) beat a Miami team looking to be anywhere else in the world, 31-24. With 55 combined points, over 41 points easily cleared.
Favorites covered three of the last four years here. Overall, underdogs lead the series 8-5 ATS, with all of those favorite covers coming in the last seven iterations. Between 2011-16, six straight underdogs covered with five of them winning outright.
The Pinstripe Bowl has been between mid-level Power Five teams, leading recently to opt outs, teams playing with coaching vacancies, and overall "participation trophy" feel from at least one of the teams.
Overs and unders are split about evenly, 6-7, all-time in the bowl game.
