NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Odds 2026: Jeremiyah Love Leads Pack

Jeremiyah Love enters the final stretch of the preseason as the favorite in NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year odds, but his high-ankle sprain has tightened the race.

DraftKings lists the Arizona Cardinals running back at +550, just ahead of Titans WR Carnell Tate (+600), Seahawks RB Jadarian Price (+600), Raiders QB Fernando Mendoza (+700), and 49ers WR De'Zhaun Stribling (+1100).

The award goes to the NFL's top first-year offensive player, but the shortest price doesn't always belong to the rookie with the clearest path to big numbers. Mendoza is the obvious example this summer. He was the No. 1 pick, yet Kirk Cousins remains between him and the starting job in Las Vegas.

Four players sit at +700 or shorter on the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year odds 2026 board at DraftKings. Then the market breaks. Stribling is +1100, with Makai Lemon and Ja'Kobi Lane next at +1500. Love is hurt, Mendoza might not start Week 1, and Price could share Seattle's backfield with Zach Charbonnet.

NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Betting Favorites

There's no common thread among the five shortest prices in the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year betting odds. Two are running backs, two are receivers, and Mendoza is a quarterback who might begin September watching Kirk Cousins.

More important than position is what each rookie can realistically do from Week 1.

Jeremiyah Love, +550

Love has the strongest résumé of the group. Arizona took him No. 3 overall after he ran for 1,372 yards and 18 touchdowns on 199 carries at Notre Dame. He also caught 27 passes for 280 yards and three scores. That's 21 offensive TDs in his final college season.

Love's high-ankle sprain complicates what otherwise would be a fairly easy case for the favorite. His DraftKings rushing total has already fallen to 774.5 yards, with 72% of bets and 80% of handle reported on the Under.

Carnell Tate, +600

Tate may have the least complicated case among the favorites. He's healthy, Tennessee used the No. 4 pick on him, and there's no veteran blocking his path to regular snaps. This came after a 2025 season at Ohio State with 51 catches, 875 yards, and nine touchdowns, good for 17.2 yards per reception.

His preseason box score has been quiet, but practice tells a different story. Tate caught a team-high seven passes with two touchdowns in an Aug. 27 joint session against Chicago. Cam Ward said afterward that Tate simply kept getting open. Seven catches and two touchdowns in a joint practice won't show up in the regular-season stats, but it's a better sign for Tate's early role than his quiet preseason box score suggests.

Jadarian Price, +600

Price never had a huge college workload because he shared Notre Dame's backfield with Love. He still scored 11 rushing TDs on 113 carries in 2025 while averaging 6.0 yards per attempt. Add two receiving scores and two kick-return TDs, and he found the end zone 15 times.

Seattle still used the final pick of the first round on Price after Kenneth Walker III left for Kansas City. Zach Charbonnet's recovery from a knee injury has only made the rookie's early workload more interesting. The part to watch is the goal line. Price scored 11 rushing touchdowns on only 113 carries last season at Notre Dame. If Seattle trusts him in the same role, he won't need a massive carry count to build an OROY résumé.

Fernando Mendoza, +700

Mendoza's +700 price depends on something Love, Tate, and Price don't have to worry about first: getting onto the field.

Mendoza went No. 1 overall after leading Indiana to a 16-0 national championship season, completing 72% of his passes for 3,535 yards, 41 TDs, and six interceptions. Those are OROY credentials.

Then came the NFL part. Kirk Cousins remains in the Raiders' quarterback competition, while Mendoza threw an 80-yard pick-six against Houston and finished 8-for-15 for 86 yards. He was better against Arizona, completing 10 of 16 for 97 yards and a TD.

A +700 ticket leaves little room for Cousins to start six or seven games. Mendoza could play well once he gets his chance and still run out of time to match the season totals of Love, Tate, or Price.

De'Zhaun Stribling, +1100

Nobody near the top of this market has moved like Stribling. San Francisco drafted him 33rd overall, and he's caught 11 passes for 109 yards on 13 preseason targets through two games. Every one of those catches came in the first half, so this isn't production against only fringe roster players late in games.

Those performances explain why +8000 disappeared. Stribling had already reached +1000 at BetMGM by Aug. 18 and now sits at +1100 at DraftKings. Anyone backing him now is getting a very different wager from the one available in July.

NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Sleeper Picks

The NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year picks get harder after Stribling. There are plenty of high prices, but not many rookies who can realistically reach 800 receiving yards or double-digit touchdowns without something changing ahead of them. Lemon, Lane, and Concepcion at least have routes to regular snaps.

Makai Lemon, +1500

Philadelphia traded up for Lemon at No. 20 after his 1,156-yard, 11-touchdown season at USC. The Eagles haven't seen much uninterrupted work from him since. A hamstring issue cost Lemon time in minicamp and again during training camp before he returned to full practice on Aug. 24.

Jalen Hurts is a nice quarterback to come back to. At +1500, though, Lemon can't afford to spend September working his way into the offense.

Ja'Kobi Lane, +1500

Pick No. 80 isn't where OROY winners usually come from. Lane has at least given Baltimore a reason to reconsider what his rookie role could look like. The 6-foot-4 receiver caught a 16-yard touchdown against Philadelphia and has repeatedly won contested balls in camp.

Zay Flowers and Mark Andrews aren't disappearing from this passing game. Lane's opportunity could come closer to the end zone, where his size gives Lamar Jackson something different. A 600-yard season probably goes nowhere in this race. A 600-yard season with nine touchdowns might.

KC Concepcion, +1800

Cleveland took Concepcion 24th overall, and he has a realistic path to starting snaps next to Jerry Jeudy. The Browns also drafted Denzel Boston at No. 39, so the rookie targets won't all belong to one player.

That's the concern. The attraction lies in Concepcion's ability to separate. He doesn't need Cleveland to manufacture contested catches for him. At +1800, we'd rather bet on a receiver who can earn steady targets than chase a bigger number on somebody who needs an injury first.

NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Prediction

Carnell Tate at +600 is the pick.

Love would be harder to pass at the same price if his ankle were healthy. It isn't, and +550 doesn't offer much compensation for that uncertainty. Tate was the No. 4 pick, has worked with the starters, and just caught seven passes with two touchdowns in Tennessee's Aug. 27 practice against Chicago.

Of the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year predictions near the top of the board, Tate requires the fewest things to change before Week 1.

NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Winners History

The recent winners list doesn't look much like the NFL MVP odds board. Wide receivers have taken three of the past five OROY awards, including Tetairoa McMillan in 2025, who opened at around +1300 before taking the 2025 award.

Winner history via Pro Football Reference. Verified recent opening prices are based on archived sportsbook-market tracking. Reliable opening prices for several older seasons aren't publicly confirmed, so we haven't estimated them.

Recent winners haven't required a preseason favorite's price. McMillan opened around +1300, Garrett Wilson around +2000, Ja'Marr Chase around +1800 and Justin Herbert around +1400. That's relevant in a 2026 market where six players are already +1500 or shorter.

How to Read Odds to Win NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year

Most odds to win the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year are positive before Week 1. Love at +550 and Lemon at +1500 are both plus-money prices, but they're telling bettors very different things about each player's chances.

A $100 bet on Love at +550 would return $650 if he wins the award. Of that amount, $550 is profit, and the other $100 is the original stake.

Lemon's +1500 price changes the same $100 bet dramatically. It would pay $1,500 in profit, or $1,600 back in total. The larger return reflects how much less likely the sportsbook considers Lemon to win.

Where to Bet on Offensive Rookie of the Year Odds
