Trump peaked with a 69% chance of winning back on July 16. That came three days after the assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania.

The former California Attorney General’s odds began to climb in late June after Biden had a poor performance against Trump in a debate. Rumors began circulating that the Democratic Party was urging Biden to drop out of the race. Gavin Newsom was another candidate thought to be in consideration to replace Biden but the Dems ultimately backed the Vice President. Biden endorsed Harris himself on July 21 after stepping out of the race.

Kamala Harris President odds

Kamala had a 27% chance of winning the Presidency the day before Biden dropped out of the race. Just one week later, Harris had a 50% chance of winning and Trump’s odds were falling.

Kamala Harris President odds peaked at 60% on Monday, August 12.

Key dates

There are important dates coming up for both Harris and Trump. The Vice President and former President are set to meet in a debate on September 10. One or two more debates between Kamala and Trump could take place between now and the Election but none other have been confirmed yet.
