Duke's Mayo Bowl betting

Last year, West Virginia (-6) handled a short-handed North Carolina team, 30-10. Under 62 points easily cleared; even under the 55.5 opening mark fell well short after Carolina's offense failed to meet expectations.

Underdogs have cashed in five of the last seven seasons in the Duke's Mayo/Belk Bowl. West Virginia broke the streak as six-point favorites as did Wisconsin with a resounding 42-28 win over Wake Forest as 10-point favorites in 2020. Before last two years, the prior three games saw the over cash with high-scoring affairs.

The recent run underdogs have had comes after favorites covered in six straight bowl games from 2011-16. Overs are 12-10 all-time in the bowl game.
