A New North Carolina Sports Betting Radio Station Is Incoming

North Carolina will be launching a local sports betting market in the near future. In anticipation of this new market, VSiN and Dick Broadcasting are set to launch ‘Bet on The Bull 960’, a sports betting-focused radio station. The station will transition from traditional sports talk to a more betting-focused product. This will pair well with North Carolina sports betting apps when they go live.
Local Radio Prepares For North Carolina Sportsbooks
Once launched, the station will carry VSiN’s national lineup and local shows. This includes the ‘Bryan Hanks Show,’ a weekly high school football game broadcast, play-by-play for the Carolina Panthers, and more.
In addition to airing on the radio, locals will have access to content on-demand at BetontheBull.com and the incoming 960 The Bull app.
“VSiN is proud to be the engine behind North Carolina’s first-ever sports betting radio format,” said Len Mead, General Manager at VSiN. “We’re excited to continue to expand our distribution footprint and inform and entertain sports fans in North Carolina and across the U.S.”
Dick Broadcasting chose to work with VSiN because of its unique content offerings. As a subsidiary of DraftKings, VSiN has a strong pedigree of supplying sports betting content on multiple platforms. One of its platforms, iHeartMedia, will allow users from all over to access Bet on The Bull 960 when it launches.
Tony Denton, Eastern North Carolina Market Manager Dick Broadcasting, said the following,
“As we started to look at new content options for the station, it was impossible to ignore the impact sports betting is having as it’s legalized across the U.S. We evaluated all of the offerings, and VSiN stood out as the best option for sports betting content. VSiN goes way beyond the traditional sports-talk format with unique content that you cannot find anywhere else. “Bet on the Bull 960 AM,” BetontheBull.com, and the 960 The Bull app will be a destination anyone with a real passion for sports.”
What More To Expect As NC Sports Betting Launch Approaches
Local North Carolina sports betting fans can expect more announcements like this in the coming weeks and months. As the launch of sports betting approaches, an increased interest in sports betting content will be apparent.
Like other markets, North Carolina will see betting content take over most sports media outlets. This includes local news and radio, as sports betting talk is now synonymous with sports talk. Bettors and general sports fans in North Carolina will see no shortage of content surrounding betting and the best sportsbook promos.
