NHL Goal Scorer Predictions Today: Best Player Props for Nov. 8

It’s a quieter six-game slate on the ice for Sunday, November 8 and we’re back with our top anytime goal scorer props. After a busy Saturday, we’ve got several teams playing the second game of a back-to-back situation here.
We’ll see the Florida Panthers head to Beantown as they face the Boston Bruins in the first game of the day at 1 pm ET. Elsewhere, Jack Eichel returns to his former stomping grounds with the Vegas Golden Knights as they take on Tage Thompson and the Buffalo Sabres at 3:30 pm ET. There’s also an entertaining tilt between a pair of high-scoring teams as Jack Hughes and the New Jersey Devils take on Gavin McKenna and the Toronto Maple Leafs at 7 pm ET. Let’s take a look at our favorite anytime goal scorer props.
Best Anytime Goal Scorer Props Today (Nov. 8)
Goal Scorer Prop #1: Cutter Gauthier, Ducks
We’ll take a swing through the Golden State for our opening play as the Pittsburgh Penguins face the Anaheim Ducks in an interconference clash.
Cutter Gauthier is one of the young, talented forwards the Anaheim boasts in their current roster. Along with Leo Carlsson and Bennett Senecke, the Ducks have weapons. Throw in young defensemen like Jackson LaCombe, Tristan Leneau plus Noah Warren and there is plenty of young talent there for Anaheim.
Gauthier leads the Ducks with 12 goals plus six assists in 16 games on the year. He’s fired 66 shots on goal, which is better than 4.1 per contest. In addition, he recorded 128 shot attempts on the year, an average of eight a night. Anaheim is fourth in the league offensively with an average of 3.76 goals per game.
The Ducks are second in the league in power play success (36.1%) this season. Meanwhile, Gauthier leads the league with nine power play goals. He has 10 goals and 45 shots on goal in the last 10 games. Arturs Silovs (5-5-1, 3.26 GAA, .876 save percentage, two shutouts) is expected to start in goal for Pittsburgh.
The Penguins are playing the second game of a back-to-back here, which could slow them down. Watch for Gauthier to find the back of the net in this contest.

New DraftKings Customers: Bet $5, Get $200 + 3 Months of NBA League Pass Goal Scorer Prop #2: Kyle Connor, Jets
For our second goal scorer prop, we head to the City of Lights, where the Tampa Bay Lightning travel to take on the Winnipeg Jets in an interconference tilt. The odds for this prop are courtesy of Fanatics.
Tampa Bay is relatively average defensively on a nightly basis entering Saturday night. The Lightning were tied for 12th in the league by allowing an average of three goals per night. In addition, they are 20th in save percentage as their goaltenders have a collective .886 save percentage. Connor has 13 goals and six assists in 17 games on the year for the Jets. He’s scored a goal in 10 of Winnipeg’s 17 contests this season.
In his last 10 games, Connor fired 35 shots on goal while lighting the lamp five times. Andrei Vasilevskiy projects as the starter in net for the Lightning. He is 8-3-1 with a 2.75 GAA but a pedestrian .886 save percentage on the year.
Winnipeg has the rest advantage as Tampa Bay plays the second game of a back-to-back here. With Connor firing plenty of rubber, he’s a sound bet to find the back of the net in this contest.
Best Bet: Kyle Connor, Anytime Goal Scorer +150, Fanatics
Goal Scorer Prop #3: David Pastrnak, Bruins
We’ll take a swing through Beantown for our next play as the Florida Panthers face the Boston Bruins in an Atlantic Division clash. We head to FanDuel here for this particular play.
David Pastrnak has gotten hot after a rather sluggish start to the season. He has eight goals and 14 assists in 17 games this season. He is on a tear lately, scoring six goals and dishing out eight assists in his last 10 games. Pastrnak has 34 shots on goal in his last 10 games and is more than capable of doing damage.
Florida entered Saturday tied for eighth in the league in goals against by allowing 2.94 goals per game on the year. Since Akira Schmid got the start for the Panthers in net Saturday, it’s likely that Jacob Markstom (4-2-1, 2.57 GAA, .886 save percentage, shutout) likely gets the start here.
Meanwhile, Pastrnak gets top line minutes alongside Pavel Zacha and JJ Peterka. In addition, he logs top line power play time to boot. We’re backing Pastrnak to score in this contest.
Best Bet: David Pastrnak, Anytime Goal Scorer +140, FanDuel
Goal Scorer Prop #4: Matvei Michkov, Flyers
For our fourth goal scorer prop, we head to the province of Alberta, where the Philadelphia Flyers travel to take on the Calgary Flames in an interconference tilt. The odds for this prop are courtesy of Hard Rock.
Michkov has been a one-man tour de force for the Flyers this season. Philadelphia has scored just 39 goals in 18 games to date an average of 2.17 goals per contest. Meanwhile, Michkov has 10 of those goals, plus three assists. That means he scored 25.64% of the Flyers’ goals and recorded a point on 33.3% of them this season.
Calgary entered Saturday tied for 25th by allowing 3.53 goals per game. Dustin Wolf (3-5-1, 3.74 GAA, .869 save percentage) is expected to start in goal for Calgary. While you can go for him to merely get a point, it’s a rather juiced line at -120. Given that he has double-digit goals on the year, I’ll take the plus money and bank on the fact that he lights the lamp.
Best Bet: Matvei Michkov, Anytime Goal Scorer: +220, Hard Rock
Goal Scorer Prop #5: Mark Stone, Golden Knights
We’ll close out our look at anytime goal scorer props with an interconference tilt in western New York as the Vegas Golden Knights travel to take on the Buffalo Sabres.
The Golden Knights are 14th in the league offensively as they put up an average of 3.28 goals per game this year. Stone is a big part of that as he leads Vegas with 10 goals to go with nine assists for 19 points. Even at age 34, he still does damage offensively.
What makes Stone dangerous is he isn’t a one-dimensional scoring threat. He has four goals at even strength and four on the power play. However, he leads the league in the early going with a pair of shorthanded goals. In his last 10 games, despite firing just 19 shots on goal, Stone has seven goals and four assists to his credit.
Stone hasn’t fired a ton of shots (35 shots on goal, 58 shot attempts in 18 games) but he’s capitalizing. He’ll make the most of his chances against Buffalo, who ranks 20th in goals against (3.25) per game. In addition, the Sabres are just 27th in save percentage (.882) this season. Colten Ellis (3-2-0, 2.92 GAA, .891 save percentage, shutout) is expected between the pipes for Buffalo.
Best Bet: Mark Stone, Anytime Goal Scorer +195, FanDuel
