It’s the start of the second week of the 2026-27 NHL season and that brings us to my top anytime goal scorer props for Tuesday, October 6. There are nine games on the schedule, including a rematch of last season’s Eastern Conference Finals.

We’ll see the defending champions in action as the Carolina Hurricanes travel to face the Montreal Canadiens. In addition, we’ll see the New York Islanders make the crosstown trip to face the New York Rangers. Elsewhere, the Minnesota Wild clash with the Buffalo Sabres. Let’s take a look at our favorite anytime goal scorer props.

Best Anytime Goal Scorer Props Today (Oct. 6)

Goal Scorer Prop #1: Dylan Guenther, Mammoth

We’ll start our goal scoring props with an interconference game as the Utah Mammoth travel to take on the New Jersey Devils.

Utah is lighting the lamp at a fast and furious pace in the opening week of the season. The Mammoth rung up a dozen goals in their first three games, an average of four goals a night. While Nick Schmaltz leads the team with four goals so far on the year, Guenther is right on his heels.

In the first three games of the year, Guenther has three goals and two assists for five points. In addition, he fired 12 shots on goal in those contests. Shockingly, all of his points have come with the man advantage. While the expectation is that Jake Allen starts in net over Nico Daws for New Jersey, the Devils surrendered eight goals in their first two games.

After 40 goals last year and a strong start to 2026/27, I’m backing Guenther to find the back of the net again.

Best Bet: Dylan Guenther, Anytime Goal Scorer FanDuel, +190

Goal Scorer Prop #2: Kirill Kaprizov, Wild

For our second goal scorer prop, we head to Western New York, where the Minnesota Wild travel to take on the Buffalo Sabres in an interconference tilt.

Minnesota got off to a strong start to the season, winning their first two games by a combined margin of 7-2. Kirill Kaprizov was right in the middle of the action, scoring three goals in the two games to lead the Wild in the early going.

Kaprizov gets a crack at a Buffalo squad that surrendered nine goals in the first two games of the season. Ukka-Pekka Luukkonen has a 4.03 GAA and a ghastly .784 save percentage in the first two games. He has a -3.9 goals saved above average and with Alex Lyon on injured reserve, he’s likely between the pipes again here.

Meanwhile, Kaprizov has four 40-goal seasons in the last five years and he was on pace for that in the other season. In 2024-25, he finished with 25 goals and 31 assists for 56 points in 41 games. He’s extremely dangerous in the offensive zone and dents the twine for the Wild in this contest.

Best Bet: Kirill Kaprizov, Anytime Goal Scorer FanDuel, +135

Goal Scorer Prop #3: Mason McTavish, Blues

We’ll take a swing through the Windy City for our next play as the St. Louis Blues face the Chicago Blackhawks in a Central Division clash.

St. Louis hasn’t clicked offensively yet with just five goals on the board in their first two games. The Blues get a shot at a Chicago squad that was outscored 15-5 in their first three contests. Therefore, we’re going to back Mason McTavish to dent the twine in this one.

McTavish has a goal on six shots on goal in the first two games of the year for St. Louis. That gives him 20% of the Blues’ goals and 12% of their shots on goal. Spencer Knight is 0-2-0 with a 4.04 GAA and an .875 save percentage in his two starts. Sadly, those numbers are better than Arvid Soderblom’s debut. He is 0-1-0 with a 6.00 GAA and an .813 save percentage on the year.

Meanwhile, McTavish may not have scored more than 22 goals in a season. However, St. Louis still thought highly enough of him to send two first-round picks to Anaheim to get him in the offseason. Look for him and the rest of the Blues to have a big night.

Best Bet: Mason McTavish, Anytime Goal Scorer FanDuel, +240

Goal Scorer Prop #4: Brady Tkachuk, Panthers

We close out look at potential anytime goal scorer props in the City of Angels as the Florida Panthers take on the Los Angeles Kings.

Florida has three games under their belt though the offense hasn’t exactly fired on all cylinders. The Panthers have just six goals in their first three games. One of the big moves Florida made in the offseason was acquiring Brady Tkachuk from Ottawa to pair with his brother Matthew. It hasn’t paid off yet but better days are coming.

Tkachuk has no points and is a -1 with seven penalty minutes in the first three games of the year. He fired nine shots on goal in those three games and had 18 shot attempts overall. Perhaps getting a crack at the Kings can get him off the schneid. After all, Los Angeles served up 13 goals in their first two games of the year, road losses to the Colorado Avalanche and San Jose Sharks.

Until we see the Kings play better defensively, one has to be concerned about the opposition piling up goals. Look for the Tkachuk brothers to combine to light the lamp here.

Best Bet: Brady Tkachuk, Anytime Goal Scorer FanDuel, +190
