The third week of the 2026-27 NHL season rolls on and that brings us to my top anytime goal scorer props for Saturday, October 17. There’s a massive 14-game slate on the board, with plenty of action to keep you glued to the TV.

We’ll see the New Jersey Devils head to the nation’s capital to face the Washington Capitals in the first game of the dayt at 1 pm ET. Elsewhere, Tage Thompson and the Buffalo Sabres battle Cole Caufield and the Montreal Canadiens at 7 pm ET. There’s also a big interconference clash between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Vegas Golden Knights at 10 pm ET. Let’s take a look at our favorite anytime goal scorer props.

Best Anytime Goal Scorer Props Today (Oct. 17)

Goal Scorer Prop #1: Clayton Keller, Mammoth

We’ll start our goal scoring props with a Western Conference game as the Edmonton Oilers travel to take on the Utah Mammoth. We’ll go to FanDuel here to get the odds for this prop.

While Edmonton is off to a strong start to the year, the Oilers have some issues. They are 4-0-0 on the road this season but the fact remains they have issues defensively. Edmonton is tied for 19th in goals allowed with 3.14 per contest. The Oilers are also a dismal 28th in penalty killing as they get through only 68.2% of their shorthanded situations.

Enter Keller, who has three goals and eight assists for 11 points this season. Seven of his 11 points have come with the man advantage. Utah is a dangerous team with the man advantage, cashing in on 37.5% of their chances with the man advantage. Tristan Jarry is in net for the Oilers and while he is 1-0-1 on the year, the numbers aren’t great. He has a 3.46 GAA and an .837 save percentage.

Look for Keller to do damage here.

Goal Scorer Prop #2: Tim Stutzle, Senators

For our second goal scorer prop, we head to the City of Brotherly Love, where the Ottawa Senators travel to take on the Philadelphia Flyers in an Eastern Conference tilt. The odds for this prop are courtesy of DraftKings.

Stutzle is off to a solid beginning of the year for the Senators. He has five goals and six assists for 11 points in eight games. In addition, he has 15 shots on goal and 30 shot attempts on the season. Ottawa gets a crack at a Flyers team that is 0-6-3 on the year. Philadelphia has surrendered 32 goals to this point of the year.

The Flyers allow 33.56 shots per game to this point of the season and their goaltenders own an ..897 save percentage. Joseph Woll has been better than Dan Vladar so far but with Ottawa solid offensively, Stutzle finds the back of the net.

Best Bet: Tim Stutzle, Anytime Goal Scorer DraftKingsl, +140

Goal Scorer Prop #3: David Pastrnak, Bruins

We’ll take a swing through the City of Angels for our next play as the Boston Bruins face the Los Angehes Kings in an interconference clash.

David Pastrnak is shooting for his fifth straight season with at least 100 points. He has two goals and six assists in seven games this season. Both his goals came in a 6-1 shellacking of Utah at home last week. Getting a crack at the Kings works in Boston’s favor here.

Los Angeles surrendered 21 goals in their first five games of the year. Pastrnak has 36 shots on goal in his last 10 games and is more than capable of doing damage. He gets top line minutes alongside Pavel Zacha and Morgan Geekie. In addition, he logs top line power play time to boot. We’re backing Pastrnak to score in this contest.

Best Bet: David Pastrnak, Anytime Goal Scorer FanDuel, +160

Goal Scorer Prop #4: Connor McDavid, Oilers

We’ll continue our goal props with the Edmonton Oilers taking on the Utah Mammoth. The odds for this prop are courtesy of FanDuel.

One thing you know when Edmonton is on the ice is that they have the potential to score a ton of goals. Of course, the flip side of that is that they tend to give up goals by the truckload as well. Connor McDavid is racking up the points in the early going this season. He has four goals and 14 assists for 18 points in the first seven games of the year.

In addition, McDavid has at least two points in five of seven games this season and scored in four of them. Against the Mammoth in his career, he has seven goals, seven assists, 14 points and 25 shots on goal in seven regular season matchups. McDavid is clicking even though he hasn’t scored a power play goal at this point of the year.

Edmonton has plenty of offensive firepower. Meanwhile, the Mammoth are mediocre in the penalty killing department (19 of 26), and that makes the Oilers more dangerous. McDavid finds a way to find the back of the net in this contest.

Best Bet: Connor McDavid, Anytime Goal Scorer FanDuel, +125

Goal Scorer Prop #5: Tage Thompson, Sabres

Thompson is a veritable force for the Sabres offensively. He scored at least 40 goals in three of the last four seasons. Meanwhile, he has four goals and four assists in eight games this season. Thompson fired 37 shots on net to lead the league this season and recorded 62 shot attempts in that span. That’s nearly eight a game.

Thompson has 12 goals and 11 assists in 23 career games against the Canadiens. After being frustrated from firing six shots on goal and winding up with just one assist against Toronto Thursday night, he’s out to avenge that showing. Thompson fires plenty of rubber on net and it pays dividends here. Watch for him to dent the twine as a result.

Best Bet: Tage Thompson, Anytime Goal Scorer FanDuel, +150
