There’s also a big Pacific Division clash between the Anaheim Ducks and the Calgary Flames in Cowtown at 8 pm ET. Let’s take a look at our favorite anytime goal scorer props.
Best Anytime Goal Scorer Props Today (Nov. 6)
Goal Scorer Prop #1: Tage Thompson, Sabres
We’ll open our look at anytime goal scorer props with a stop in western New York. The Columbus Blue Jackets visit Tage Thompson and the Buffalo Sabres. We head to DraftKings for this particular play.
Thompson is a veritable force for the Sabres offensively. He scored at least 40 goals in three of the last four seasons. Meanwhile, he has 10 goals and eight assists in 15 games this season. Thompson fired 65 shots on net to lead the league this season and recorded 105 shot attempts in that span. That’s an average of seven a game.
Thompson has 11 goals and six assists in 17 career games against the Blue Jackets. He has five goals and nine points in his last four games entering this contest. Columbus is league average in terms of defense as they are 17th by allowing 3.15 goals per game. Meanwhile, Thompson fires plenty of rubber on net and it pays dividends here. Watch for him to dent the twine as a result.
Best Bet: Tage Thompson, Anytime Goal Scorer +120, DraftKings

We’ll continue our look at anytime goal scoring props with a Western Conference tilt as the San Jose Sharks travel to take on the Minnesota Wild. We’ll go to Hard Rock here to get the odds for this prop.
Minnesota is middle of the road offensively, ranking 17th in the league as they put up an average of 3.13 goals per game on the year. Meanwhile, the Sharks are tied for 27th in the league by surrendering 3.53 goals per contest entering this one. Kaprizov is off to a scorching start to the season as he has a league-leading 15 goals and 11 assists for 26 points in the Wild’s opening 17 games.
Kaprizov has goals in seven of his last 10 games. In addition, he recorded at least one point in 15 of the Wild’s 17 contests this year. San Jose’s goaltending tandem has sputtered so far this season. Yaroslav Askarov (4-7-0, 3.29 ERA, .887 save percentage) has seen more work than Alex Nedeljkovic. However, Nedeljkovic (3-2-1, 3.09 GAA, .899 save percentage) has better numbers.
When you get down to brass tacks, it might not matter who the Sharks have between the pipes. With as hot as Kaprizov’s stick is right now, look for him to put another one on the board.
Best Bet: Kirill Kaprizov, Anytime Goal Scorer -120, Hard Rock
Goal Scorer Prop #3: Cutter Gauthier, Ducks
We’ll take a swing through Cowtown for our next play as the Anaheim Ducks face the Calgary Flames in a Pacific Division clash.
Cutter Gauthier is one of the young, talented forwards the Anaheim boasts in their current roster. Along with Leo Carlsson and Bennett Senecke, the Ducks have weapons. Throw in young defensemen like Jackson LaCombe, Tristan Leneau plus Noah Warren and there is plenty of young talent there for Anaheim.
Gauthier leads the Ducks with 11 goals plus five assists in 15 games on the year. He’s fired 59 shots on goal, which is better than 4.2 per contest. In addition, he recorded 111 shot attempts on the year, an average of nearly eight a night. Anaheim is sixth in the league offensively with an average of 3.60 goals per game.
The Ducks lead the league in power play success (38%) this season. Meanwhile, Gauthier leads the league with nine power play goals. He has eight goals and 42 shots on goal in the last 10 games. Dustin Wolf (3-4-1, 3.71 GAA, .870 save percentage) is expected to start in goal for Calgary. Watch for Gauthier to find the back of the net in this contest.
Best Bet: Cutter Gauthier, Anytime Goal Scorer +140, FanDuel
Goal Scorer Prop #4: Macklin Celebrini, Sharks
We’ll head back to the Land of 10,000 Lakes for a Western Conference contest when the San Jose Sharks make the trek east to take on the Minnesota Wild.
Macklin Celebrini is a major reason that the Sharks took a massive step forward last season. The former first overall pick is clicking right now. He missed a week with a knee injury but has helped spark the San Jose offense.
For the year, Celebrini has six goals and 11 assists for 17 points in 15 games. He’s due for some positive regression to the mean as his shot percentage (10.2%) this season is down more than five percent from last season’s 15.7% mark.
Minnesota is stout defensively, leading the league by allowing 2.24 goals per game. Obviously, Celebrini’s chances are much better if Calvin Pickard (1-1-0, 3.50 GAA, .833 save percentage) starts. Meanwhile, the chances would be worse if Jesper Wallstedt (10-2-3, 2.06 GAA, .919 save percentage) is in goal. Take a flier on Celebrini here.
Best Bet: Macklin Celebrini, Anytime Goal Scorer +175, FanDuel
Goal Scorer Prop #5: Kent Johnson, Blue Jackets
We’ll close out our look at anytime goal scorer props with a second look at the Blue Jackets trip to Buffalo to face the Sabres.
Columbus struggles to put the puck in the net, ranking 27th in the league by scoring 2.69 goals per game. The Blue Jackets do get a bit of a break as they face a Sabres squad that stands 20th in the league by allowing 3.33 goals a night.
Johnson carries a hot stick at the moment. He has seven goals and six assists for 13 points for the Blue Jackets this season. Johnson has 26 shots on goal and 58 shot attempts on the year. Of late, he’s been rolling with six goals and five assists in his last 10 games.
Johnson has a point in five straight games and 10 of the Blue Jackets’ 13 contests. Neither Colten Ellis (3-2-0, 2.92 GAA, .891 save percentage, shutout) or Ukka-Pekka Luukkonen (4-3-3, 3.40 GAA, .873 save percentage) is setting the world on fire in goal. Columbus plays the second game of a back-to-back but Johnson finds the net.
Best Bet: Kent Johnson, Anytime Goal Scorer +275, Hard Rock
