As the NHL postseason’s second round gets going, we’ve got a two-game slate on the ice for Monday. One of the two series gets underway out west while the other sees an Eastern Conference squad seeking a 2-0 advantage. Let’s break down the schedule.

NHL Schedule

With this slate on the docket, there are some solid options for your NHL prop bets and anytime goal scorer picks across the league. It’s time for players to make a name for themselves. Let’s take a look at some of the top plays to help you walk away a winner at the window.

Anytime Goal Scorer Picks Today

Logan Stankoven, Hurricanes Over 0.5 Goals (+200, DraftKings)

In the postseason, you won’t find a hotter stick than the twig that is in the hands of Stankoven right now. After setting career highs in goals (21) and points (44) in the regular season, he’s turned it up a notch in the playoffs. Stankoven has six goals and an assist in five playoff games, including tallying a pair of goals in Carolina’s 3-0 win in Game 1. He has two game-winners and has fired 23 shots on goal (33 shot attempts) in the postseason. It’s tough to go against a guy with that kind of momentum. Look for him to light the lamp again.

Leo Carlsson, Ducks Over 0.5 Goals (+230, FanDuel)

Carlsson is another talented forward in the young Ducks’ arsenal to count on in the postseason. He put up career highs in goals (29), assists (38) and points (67) while firing 193 shots on goal. Carlsson continued with solid numbers in the opening round against Edmonton. He scored three goals and dished out five assists for eight points in the Ducks’ six-game victory. Carlsson fired 28 shots on goal (38 shot attempts) in the series. At 21, he has a bright future, but he’s arrived already. He can find the back of the net here.

Mark Stone, Golden Knights Over 0.5 Goals (+230, Fanatics)

Stone was hot as the regular season came to a close, tallying five goals in his last six games. That late flurry gave him 28 goals in 60 regular season contests. Vegas saw Brett Howden and Pavel Dorofeyev each score four goals in the opening round to lead the team. That doesn’t mean counting out the proven commodities is a wise move. Stone can do damage as we saw in key moments in round one. He finished with two goals and three assists for five points against Utah in the  first round. Stone isn’t afraid to do the dirty work, cleaning up rebounds and banging in front of the net. That kind of play is rewarded in the postseason.

If you’re looking at wagers that don’t involve denting the twine, we have you covered there as well.

Cutter Gauthier, Ducks Over 0.5 Points (-136, FanDuel)

Gauthier had a massive second season for the Ducks. He doubled his goal total from 20 to 41 and finished the year with 69 points. Gauthier kept things going in the opening round against the Oilers. In the six games against Edmonton, he finished with four goals and three assists for seven points. He scored three power play goals and had a pair of game-winning markers in the opening round. Gauthier had 21 shots on goal and 41 shot attempts in the series. Look for him to find his name on the scoresheet when the game is over.

Pavel Dorofeyev, Golden Knights Over 2.5 Shots (-150, BetMGM)

This series gets underway between a pair of high-octane offensive squads. Vegas averaged more than 30 shots a game in the series against Utah. Dorofeyev tallied 37 times and fired 230 shots on goal while playing all 82 regular season games. His effort hasn’t waned in the postseason. Dorofeyev has 31 shot attempts (18 shots on goal) with four goals in the postseason. He has at least three shots on goal in four of the last five games. With his production climbing as the playoffs continue, he’s in good shape to exceed the number again.
