We’ll see the Florida Panthers head to the nation’s capital as they face the Washington Capitals in the first game of the night at 12:30 pm ET. Elsewhere, Cole Caufield and the Montreal Canadiens take on William Nylander and the Toronto Maple Leafs in the latest chapter of one of the league’s most bitter rivalries at 7 pm ET. There’s also a big interconference clash between the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Minnesota Wild in the Land of 10,000 Lakes at 8 pm ET. Let’s take a look at our favorite anytime goal scorer props.
Best Anytime Goal Scorer Props Today (Nov. 7)
Goal Scorer Prop #1: Auston Matthews, Maple Leafs
For our first goal scorer prop of the night, we head to the 6ix, where the Montreal Canadiens travel to take on the Toronto Maple Leafs in an Original Six and Atlantic Division tilt. The odds for this prop are courtesy of FanDuel.
Toronto has a dangerous offensive attack as they rank seventh in the league with an average of 3.65 goals a contest. Auston Matthews is one of those guys that can fill up the stat sheet in a hurry. After struggling with injuries last season and missing the last month of the season with a MCL injury, Matthews looks more like his old self this year.
Matthews has 11 goals, 15 assists and 26 points on the season. He leads the Maple Leafs in all three categories. In addition, he scored in five of his last eight games. He has 51 shots on goal and 91 shot attempts on the season. Montreal is 17th in goals against by allowing 3.19 goals per contest.
When it comes to facing Montreal, Matthews gets up for these games. He has 29 goals and 18 assists in 41 career games against the Canadiens. Meanwhile, Matthews has 241 career goals in 347 games at the Scotiabank Arena. The veteran leads the charge offensively for Toronto at home.
Best Bet: Auston Matthews, Anytime Goal Scorer +140, FanDuel
New DraftKings Customers: Bet $5, Get $200 + 3 Months of NBA League Pass Goal Scorer Prop #2: Jack Hughes, Devils
We’ll continue our look at anytime goal scoring props with a Metropolitan Division tilt as the New Jersey Devils travel to take on the New York Islanders. We’ll go to DraftKings here to get the odds for this prop.
New Jersey is above average offensively, ranking tied for 9th in the league as they put up an average of 3.50 goals per game on the year. Meanwhile, the Islanders are tied for 27th in the league by surrendering 3.53 goals per contest entering this one. Hughes is off to a solid start to the season as he has eight goals and 13 assists for 21 points in the Devils’ opening 16 games.
While the Islanders are stingy defensively, Hughes is playing well of late. He has six goals and seven assists for 13 points in his last 10 games. In addition, he fires plenty of shots as he has 40 shots on goal in that stretch. He’s fired 65 shots on goal and 138 shot attempts on the season. Playing on a line with Jesper Bratt and the equally hot Arseny Gritsyuk, Hughes gets opportunities.
Throw in time on the first power play unit and Hughes is set up to cash in here.
Best Bet: Kirill Kaprizov, Anytime Goal Scorer +150, DraftKings
Goal Scorer Prop #3: Logan Cooley, Mammoth
We’ll head to the capital city of Canada for an interconference contest when the Utah Mammoth make the trek east to take on the Ottawa Senators.
There is no shortage of weapons for the Mammoth offensively this season. Nick Schmaltz and Dylan Guenther led the way in the early going of the year. Clayton Keller, Vincent Trocheck and Lawson Crouse are dangerous. Of late, though, no Utah player has a hotter stick than Logan Cooley.
Cooley has 11 goals and 10 assists for 21 points on the season. Impressively, he’s scored those 11 goals on just 29 shots on goal for a 37.9% shooting percentage. In addition, Cooley scored 11 goals and recorded four assists in the last 10 games. Meanwhile, his Corsi (63.2%) and Fenwick (62.4%) are career highs. He gets a crack against a Senators team that allows 27.06 per game. In addition, Ottawa is 15th in goals allowed per game (3.06) this year.
Samuel Ersson (2-3-1, 3.32 GAA, .880 save percentage) projects in net for the Senators. Back Cooley to dent the twine in this contest.
Best Bet: Logan Cooley, Anytime Goal Scorer +175, Hard Rock
Goal Scorer Prop #4: Evan Bouchard, Oilers
For our fourth goal scorer prop, we head to the province of Alberta, where the Vancouver Canucks travel to take on the Edmonton Oilers in a Pacific Division tilt. The odds for this prop are courtesy of FanDuel.
One thing we know about the Oilers is that they can score with impunity. After all, Connor McDavid leads the league with 44 points in 17 games. However, 34 of those are assists, so he’s not denting the twine as much as normal. Evan Bouchard is doing his best Paul Coffey impression as an offensive weapon from the blue line.
Bouchard has 10 goals and 20 assists for 30 points on the season. He stands a league-best +23 on the season. In addition, Bouchard’s fired 48 shots on goal while ripping 120 shot attempts while playing 25:51 a night. The Oilers get a crack at a Canucks squad that ranks worst in the league by allowing 4.61 goals a night. Bouchard scored in three straight games and he makes it four with a goal here.
Best Bet: Evan Bouchard, Anytime Goal Scorer +195, DraftKings
Goal Scorer Prop #5: Logan Stankoven, Hurricanes
We’ll close out our look at anytime goal scorer props with an interconference tilt in the Music City as the Carolina Hurricanes travel to take on the Nashville Predators.
The Hurricanes are 3rd in the league offensively as they put up an average of 3.83 goals per game this year. Stankoven is a big part of that as he leads Carolina with 11 goals along with six assists. He is third on the team with 17 points. At age 23, he’s still very much on the upswing of his career and is primed to shatter his career-high of 21 goals set last year.
What makes Stankoven dangerous is he isn’t a one-dimensional scoring threat. He has nine goals at even strength and one on the power play. For good measure, he has a shorthanded tally to boot.
Stankoven lit the lamp in six of his last eight games entering Saturday. He’s a consistent shooter (55 shots on goal, 98 shot attempts in 18 games) but he’s capitalizing. He’ll make the most of his chances against a Chicago team that is 31st in the league by allowing 3.94 goals per game on the year.
Best Bet: Logan Stankoven, Anytime Goal Scorer +190, Hard Rock
