Anytime Touchdown Scorer Today: Bears vs. Seahawks on MNF

Week 8 of the NFL season draws to a close with a Monday night football clash between the Chicago Bears and the Seattle Seahawks. We’ll take a look at our favorite anytime touchdown scorer prop bets for this contest.
The Bears enter the game 5-2 on the season and stand tied for second in the NFC North. Seattle is 4-3 on the year and stand second in the NFC West. With Kyle Monangai sidelined for the Bears and a muddled running back situation for the Seahawks, we’re looking at a different course of action when it comes to finding paydirt in this one.
Best anytime touchdown scorer today picks for Bears vs. Seahawks
While it can be fun throwing darts at potential long shot candidates on props like this, we’re going a bit more conservative. After all, you want to maximize your odds of winning, not handing money over. We’re going after guys that are proven candidates to have the ball in their hands and find their way to the end zone.
Meanwhile, if you wanted to back a running back in this spot, D’Andre Swift (-110 at DraftKings and FanDuel) is a bit overpriced for me. Emanuel Wilson (+350 at BetMGM) tends to struggle to find the end zone (three TD in 111 carries) this year. Zach Charbonnet (+135) is making his season debut and no one knows what kind of workload he’ll have.
With all that said, let’s look at our favorite anytime touchdown scorer props for Monday Night Football.
Anytime TD Prediction #1: Jaxon Smith-Njigba (-105)
Jaxon Smith-Njigba, to put it simply, is a matchup nightmare of opposing defenses. His lowest total for receiving yards in a game this year is 76. Meanwhile, he’s cracked the 100-yard mark in each of his other six games of the year.
Smith-Njigba is third in the league in receptions (58) and leads the league in receiving yards (867) on the year. In addition, he has a league-high eight receiving scores on the season. Smith-Njigba has caught at least one touchdown pass in five of his seven games this season. Meanwhile, he caught three scores against Arizona in week two and a pair of scores in week three against Washington.
After 10 scores a year ago, followed by two in three postseason games, he’s poised to obliterate last season’s touchdown total. The Bears have surrendered 11 touchdown passes on the season. Meanwhile, they’ve given up 300+ yards through the air three times, including last week against New England. We haven’t seen Smith-Njigba slowed down and I don’t see the Bears doing that either.
Prediction: Jaxon Smith-Njigba Anytime Touchdown -105, Fanatics
Anytime TD Prediction #2: Luther Burden III (+240)
Burden III has flourished in his second year in the league with the Bears. He leads the team in receptions (35) and receiving yards (491) on the year. However, he has just two scores so far despite all that production.
Some of that can be attributed to musical quarterback play as Caleb Williams missed time with a hamstring strain. That forced Case Keenum and Tyson Bagent into action. Still, Burden III has good hands and the ability to do damage after the catch with his speed. More than half (250) of his receiving yards have come after the catch.
We saw Burden III score last week against the Patriots. With his penchant for turning small plays into big ones (11 catches of at least 20 yards), it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him break a long score in this contest.
Prediction: Luther Burden III Anytime Touchdown +240, Fanatics

Early in the season, Loveland’s face may as well have been on a milk carton. That’s because he was missing in the Bears’ offense. He’s turned things around in recent weeks, however.
For the year, Loveland has caught 26 passes for 244 yards and a pair of scores. In addition, he’s featured more in the offense lately, catching at least six passes in three of the Bears’ last four games. To further his resume, he’s found the end zone in back-to-back contests, scoring against Atlanta and New England.
With Cole Kmet out for the year after sustaining a knee injury against the Patriots, Loveland becomes more relevant. He has been targeted 10 times in the red zone, including four times from inside the 10-yard line. Williams isn’t afraid to look for his big tight end when he needs a big completion and that works in Loveland’s favor.
Prediction: Colston Loveland Anytime Touchdown +230, FanDuel
Anytime TD Prediction #4: AJ Barner (+270)
When you talk about options in the red zone for the Seahawks, AJ Barner is a major factor for Seattle. The tight end has drawn more red zone targets (eight) than the other three wide receivers other than Jaxon Smith-Njigba (Cooper Kupp, Rashid Shaheed and Tory Horton) have combined (seven) on the year.
Barner has 19 catches for 180 yards on the season. However, he is still looking for his first score of the season. The Bears have been burned a bit by opposing tight ends of late. Last week against New England, Hunter Henry and Eli Raridon combined for 10 catches for 127 yards and a score. That came on the heels of Kyle Pitts and Austin Hooper combining for six catches for 66 yards and two scores.
Barner gets his share of looks in this contest and it wouldn’t be a surprise to have him find the end zone in this contest.
Prediction: AJ Barner Anytime Touchdown +270, Fanatics
Anytime TD Prediction #5: Rome Odunze (+270)
We’ll close with a look at Rome Odunze, who had some big catches last week against New England. He has 24 receptions for 381 yards on the year. Like Burden III, he has 11 receptions of at least 20 yards on the season. However, like Barner, he has yet to find the end zone.
Odunze has seen five red zone targets on the year and he should be a factor here. Chicago is going to have to test a Seattle defense that has been stingy against the pass. He could always catch a short pass and turn it upfield to find the end zone.
It doesn’t matter how you score, it’s that you score.
Prediction: Rome Odunze Anytime Touchdown +270, DraftKings
