The 2026 NFL season gets underway Wednesday night with a matchup that already carries plenty of history. The New England Patriots travel to Seattle for a Super Bowl LX rematch against the Seahawks, giving bettors an immediate chance to attack one of the most anticipated games of Week 1.

Seattle enters as a 3.5-point favorite, while the total sits at 44.5, suggesting the market expects a competitive game with enough scoring opportunities on both sides. New England has added more firepower around Drake Maye, Seattle still has an explosive passing game, and both backfields offer intriguing touchdown possibilities. That makes the anytime touchdown scorer market one of the more appealing ways to bet the opener.

Rhamondre Stevenson Anytime Touchdown (+110)

Rhamondre Stevenson is my favorite anytime touchdown scorer bet of the night.

New England enters the opener without TreVeyon Henderson, creating an opportunity for Stevenson to take on an even larger role in the Patriots backfield. He already showed a nose for the end zone last season, scoring nine total touchdowns despite sharing the workload.

Stevenson should be especially important when New England gets into scoring territory. At 6-foot and 227 pounds, he's the type of back the Patriots can lean on between the tackles near the goal line rather than getting too creative.

I'm also expecting New England to score plenty of points in this matchup. If the Patriots get into the 20s or potentially even the 30s, Stevenson should have multiple opportunities to cash at +110 odds.

AJ Barner Anytime Touchdown (+270)

If we're looking for more plus-money value, Seattle tight end AJ Barner stands out at +270 on most sports betting apps. Barner developed into a legitimate scoring threat last season, finishing with six receiving touchdowns. At 6-foot-6 and 251 pounds, he's an obvious mismatch when Seattle gets near the goal line.

The Seahawks have no shortage of receiving talent with Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Cooper Kupp, which can actually help Barner. Defenses have to devote significant attention to the receivers outside, opening opportunities for Seattle to attack the middle of the field with its tight ends.

Barner also enters the opener healthy enough to play after dealing with an oblique issue during the week. At nearly 3-to-1 odds, Barner doesn't need a huge target share. We're simply betting on Darnold finding his big tight end once when Seattle gets close.

Cooper Kupp Anytime Touchdown (+250)

Cooper Kupp is another Seattle pass-catcher worth targeting at a strong plus-money price. Kupp isn't necessarily the primary receiving option anymore with Smith-Njigba coming off a monster season, but that could make him more dangerous around the goal line.

The veteran receiver knows how to find space against zone coverage and has spent his entire career proving capable of turning short-area targets into touchdowns. In a game I'm expecting to be relatively high-scoring, +250 is an attractive number for someone with Kupp's experience.

Seattle should have to throw throughout the night if New England plays as well offensively as I expect, with two playoff teams clashing. That creates additional opportunities for Kupp, especially inside the red zone where route running and chemistry become particularly valuable.

Of the three touchdown picks, Kupp carries a little more risk, but the price more than makes up for it with his experience on this type of stage.
