Ravens vs. Colts Prediction, Odds & Picks for Sept. 13: Take the Over

Written By Chris Kubala | Published at September 13, 2026
Through 2025, Jonathan Taylor has rushed for 7,598 yards and 69 touchdowns. He led the NFL in rushing with 1,811 yards in his second season, and has scored 18 rushing TDs two times.

Week 1 of the NFL season rolls on with a game in the Hoosier State between teams that missed the postseason last year as the Baltimore Ravens take on the Indianapolis Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium Sunday afternoon and we have you covered with our Ravens vs. Colts prediction. Baltimore finished the 2025 season 8-9 and missed the postseason.

Indianapolis closed the 2025 season 8-9 as they collapsed down the stretch. They also missed the postseason. In the all-time regular season series between the teams, the Colts own a 9-6 advantage. That includes a 22-19 road win in the most recent matchup on September 24, 2023.

Baltimore Ravens Try to Win Minter’s Debut

Ravens 2025 Season in Review

Baltimore was inconsistent at best last season. The Ravens flopped out of the gate, blowing a 15-point lead in the final four minutes against the Bills in the opener. That was the beginning of a 1-5 start to the year. In addition, Lamar Jackson missed time with a calf injury in the beginning part of the year. He suffered additional injuries that hampered him later on in the year as well.

Baltimore won five straight to get to 6-5, dropped three of four and entered the finale with a shot at the AFC North crown. Instead, Tyler Loop missed a field goal in the dying seconds and the Ravens fell to the Steelers. That sent Pittsburgh to the postseason and Baltimore home for the year. After the season, the team fired John Harbaugh. In his stead is Jesse Minter, the former defensive coordinator of the Chargers.

Ravens Hope For Better Early Showing in 2026

One thing Baltimore has to do is be better defensively than they were in the early going last season. The Ravens surrendered 41 points to Buffalo, 38 to Detroit, 37 to Kansas City and 44 to Houston in the first five weeks. While they improved as the season went on, the slow start cost them a spot in the postseason. After not giving up more than 19 points in any game during their five-game win streak, Baltimore allowed at least 24 points in five of their final six.

Last season, Baltimore was 27th in the league in passing offense with an average of 175.6 yards per game. They were second in the league in rushing offense by picking up 156.7 yards per contest. The Ravens were 11th in the league in scoring with 24.9 points per game. Meanwhile, the team finished 18th in scoring defense by allowing 23.4 points per game.

Lamar Jackson has completed 192 of 302 passes for 2,549 yards with 21 touchdowns against seven interceptions. He added 67 carries for 349 yards and two scores. Tyler Huntley (52 of 67, 426 yards, two TD, 151 rush yards) is the backup.

Derrick Henry (307 carries, 1595 yards, 16 TD) is the lead back in the ground game. Justice Hill (18 carries, 93 yards, two TD) is the second back in the system. In the passing game, the Ravens were led by Zay Flowers, who had 86 receptions for 1,211 yards and five touchdowns last season. Tight end Mark Andrews (48 catches, 422 yards, five TD), Rashod Bateman (19 catches, 224 yards, two TD) and rookie Ja’Kobi Lane are other solid options. Tyler Loop hit 44 of 46 extra point attempts and drilled 30 of 34 field goal attempts with a long of 52 last season.

Indianapolis Colts Hope to Shake Off Last Season’s Collapse

Colts 2025 Season in Review

Indianapolis started last season like a house of fire before injuries derailed their season. The Colts roared to an 8-2 start and seemed poised to return to the postseason. The wheels fell off from there, however. Daniel Jones went down with a torn Achilles and the Colts closed the year with seven straight defeats to wind up 8-9. Five of those seven losses down the stretch came by one score, with one of those coming in overtime. The Colts hope that they have better luck with the injury bug this season and find a way to return to the playoffs for the first time since 2020.

Colts Seek to Start Season With Victory

Indianapolis did some shuffling of their receiver room in the offseason. They signed Alec Pierce to an extension and traded Michael Pittman Jr. to the Steelers for a mid-round pick. Meanwhile, they signed Keenan Allen to a one-year deal to provide a safety valve for Jones, along with a veteran presence. The Colts lost starters on defense with Kwity Paye, Neville Gallimore and Nick Cross all left in free agency. Indianapolis hopes that rookies C.J. Allen and A.J. Haulcy can be factors in the back seven of their defense.

Last year, the Colts were 9th in the league in passing by averaging 227.8 yards per game through the air. They were 17th in rushing offense with 118.1 yards per contest. Indianapolis was 8th in the league in scoring with 27.4 points per game. In addition they finished 21st in scoring defense by allowing 24.2 points per contest.

Daniel Jones was 261 of 384 passing for 3,101 yards with 19 touchdowns and eight interceptions. He added 164 yards and five scores on the ground. Riley Leonard (39 of 67, 415 yards, two TD, three INT, 27 rush yards, two TD) and Anthony Richardson Sr. (one of two, nine yards) are next up on the depth chart.

Jonathan Taylor led the team with 323 carries for 1,585 yards plus 18 scores last season. Rookie Seth McGowan and DJ Giddens (26 carries, 96 yards) are next in line. Tyler Warren is the team’s leading returning receiver with 76 catches for 817 yards and four scores. Alec Pierce (47 receptions, 1003 yards, six TD), Allen and Josh Downs (58 grabs, 566 yards, four TD) are all good options. Spencer Shrader hit all 14 extra point attempts and 13 of 14 field goal attempts with a long of 52 last year.

Ravens vs. Colts Prediction

Colts +3.5 (-113, DraftKings)

We don’t know what to make of the Ravens out of the gate. After all, we’re talking about a team with a new head coach, two new coordinators and a new interior of the offensive line. Jackson is playing for a contract at this point as he and the Ravens didn’t work out a new deal in the offseason. Indianapolis was terrific in the first half of the year before injuries gutted their squad. Jones hopes to be back at full speed and we know that they have good pass catching options. Taylor is a stellar running back and the Colts are at home here. This game likely is decided by a field goal. Take the three and a hook at DraftKings with the Colts.

Over 47.5 (-110, Fanatics)

Both these teams struggled defensively a year ago. The Ravens won’t have Nnamdi Madubuike, who is trying to come back from a neck injury that cost him most of last year. With Minter and a new defensive coordinator, we have to see the Ravens improve on that side of the ball. Meanwhile, Jackson has had success against Lou Anarumo’s defense when he ran the Bengals’ defense. With both teams having solid offensive units and questionable defenses, points should be plentiful. Go to Fanatics and take the Over in this contest.
