Commanders vs. 49ers Prediction, Odds & Picks for Oct. 19: San Francisco Cruises

The Washington Commanders and San Francisco 49ers meet in the final game of Week 6. Our Commanders vs. 49ers prediction outlines FanDuel odds, betting trends, injuries, and best bets for the Monday Night Football game.
The Commanders have dealt with several injuries, posting a 1-3-1 record through five games. They’ve struggled with a -34 point differential, but that’s largely because of the injury to Jayden Daniels.
The 49ers boast an undefeated 5-0 record this season. They enter this game with a league-best +61 point differential in 2026.

The Commanders have been one of the most inconsistent teams in the NFL. Their sole win came against the Seattle Seahawks. They also were in a position to win against the New York Giants in overtime last week, but time management issues cost them the win. Here are some trends for Washington this week:
- The Commanders are 1-3-1 straight up and 2-3 ATS this season.
- The Over is 4-1 in Washington games.
- Washington ranks 30th in points per play allowed (0.464).
- Jacory Croskey-Merritt has been ruled out, while Javon Kinlaw is questionable.
Washington has played close games when Jayden Daniels has been healthy. They lost by two to the Philadelphia Eagles and tied the Giants. They were also down 17-10 to the Dallas Cowboys at half when Daniels got injured in that blowout loss.
The issue has consistently been the defense for the Commanders. They’ve given up 24+ points in every game this season, including 30+ points in three of their five games.

San Francisco 49ers Betting Trends
The 49ers have found elite success this season, with three of their five wins coming by double digits. They also own high-end division wins against the Los Angeles Rams and Seattle Seahawks this season. Here are some San Francisco trends for this week:
- The 49ers are 5-0 straight up and 4-1 ATS this season.
- The Over is 3-2 in San Francisco games.
- San Francisco ranks first with a +12.2 average scoring margin.
- Nick Bosa, Deebo Samuel, and Marques Sigle have been ruled out, while Dre Greenlaw is suspended.
San Francisco’s looked elite in all facets of the game this season, but their offense has been the best part. They’ve scored 24+ points in every game this season, including three games with 32+ points. Granted, their defense has also found plenty of success.
The 49ers have been dealing with a plethora of injuries throughout the season, so this week isn’t anything new. Even with the lengthy injury list, they’ve played at an elite level on both sides of the ball.

Commanders vs. 49ers Prediction: Mike Evans Over 72.5 Receiving Yards
Mike Evans Over 72.5 receiving yards is my favorite Commanders vs. 49ers prediction.
Evans has performed extremely well early in his first season for San Francisco. He’s totaled 24 receptions for 326 yards and 3 touchdowns on 34 targets. He’s also seen a team-high 472 air yards, adding to his overall upside.
As I discussed in my Week 6 NFL Trends article, Evans hasn’t played heavy snaps for the 49ers. He played 63.3% of the offensive snaps in Week 5, which is the most since Week 1. San Francisco is getting him more involved as the season progresses, and regardless of his snap count, he’s commanding elite target volume when he’s on the field.
Washington’s allowing the 11th-most receiving yards (164.2) per game to opposing wide receivers. The only major concern here is a blowout.
Best Bet: Mike Evans over 72.5 receiving yards (-114 @ FanDuel Sportsbook)
More Commanders vs. 49ers Picks, Props and Best Bets
Here are a few more Commanders vs. 49ers betting angles to consider:
- San Francisco 49ers -6.5 Alt Spread (-148 @ FanDuel Sportsbook) - San Francisco’s been one of the best teams in the NFL, and Washington’s struggled defensively. Even if Washington can score, I don’t expect them to keep up with the 49ers. This is a parlay piece.
- George Kittle Over 65.5 Receiving Yards (-114 @ FanDuel Sportsbook) - Kittle ranks 10th in the NFL in targets (28), sixth in air yards (218), and second in YAC (154) for tight ends. Washington’s giving up the fifth-most receiving yards (74.4) per game to the position.
- Jayden Daniels Under 37.5 Rushing Yards (-114 @ FanDuel Sportsbook) - Daniels is an elite runner, but this is a tough matchup. Quarterbacks are averaging only 6.6 rushing yards per game against San Francisco, and they shut down Malik Willis (6 rushing yards) as the only elite runner they’ve faced this season.
