Bills vs. Rams Prediction, Odds & Picks for Oct. 12: Explosive Offenses
The Buffalo Bills and Los Angeles Rams are currently the top two favorites to win the Super Bowl, and they’ll face off in Week 5. Our Bills vs. Rams prediction outlines FanDuel odds, betting trends, injuries, and best bets for Monday Night Football.
The Rams have dealt with several key injuries this season, but they still own a 2-2 record through four games. They also boast a +2 point differential thus far. This is a team getting healthier, though, adding to their overall upside.
The Bills are coming off a disappointing loss to the New England Patriots, but they own a 3-1 record early in 2026. They’ve recorded a +20 point differential, and they look like one of the best teams in the NFL.
Bills vs. Rams Odds

The Bills have looked great early in the 2026 season. They own a 3-1 record, although they’re coming off a disappointing loss to the New England Patriots. Still, they own sole possession of first in the AFC East, and there’s plenty to be excited about for this team. Here are some trends for Buffalo this week:
- The Bills are 3-1 straight up and 3-1 ATS this season.
- The Over is 3-1 in Buffalo games.
- Buffalo leads the NFL with 31.8 points per game.
- Ed Oliver’s been ruled out, while DJ Moore and Dee Alford are questionable.
The Bills looked unstoppable early in the season, with wins over the Houston Texans, Detroit Lions, and Los Angeles Chargers. They’re coming off a loss to the New England Patriots, though.
Buffalo has featured an elite offense in 2026. They’ve scored 24+ points in every game, including games with 36 and 41 points. Their offense has taken a step back in the last two weeks, but there’s little reason to expect a major drop-off as the season progresses.

Los Angeles Rams Betting Trends
The Rams have been alternating wins and losses through four weeks. They lost to the San Francisco 49ers, beat the New York Giants, then lost to the Denver Broncos. They’re coming off a win against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 4. Here are some Los Angeles trends for this week:
- The Rams are 2-2 straight up and 2-2 ATS this season.
- The Over is 2-2 in Los Angeles games.
- The Rams won their only true home game in 2026 by 22 points.
- Puka Nacua returned to a full role last week, and he’s primed for full snaps again.
Los Angeles has had one of the strangest starts to a season. They started their season with the NFL’s first regular-season game in Australia. They’ve also only had one true home game through four weeks.
Aaron Donald missed time early in the season after coming out of retirement, and Myles Garrett was placed on injured reserve early on. Puka Nacua was never placed on injured reserve, but he missed multiple games. They’re finally starting to get a bit healthier.

Bills vs. Rams Prediction: Over 54.5 Points
The Over is my favorite Bills vs. Rams prediction.
These are two faster-paced teams in the NFL this season. The Rams currently rank fifth in the NFL in seconds per play (27.2) and third in plays per game (69). Surprisingly, the Bills only rank 22nd in plays per game (59.5), but they also rank 10th in seconds per play (28.3).
Buffalo’s limited offensive plays per game are partly a result of their offensive efficiency. They rank second in the NFL in points per play (0.534), while also ranking third in yards per play (6.5). The Bills’ ability to score quickly, combined with a defense that has allowed opponents to sustain drives, has limited its total offensive play volume.
The Rams feature a high-upside offense, but the bigger deal is that the Bills rank 20th in points allowed per play (0.393) in 2026. Buffalo’s struggled defensively to slow their opponents down, and that isn’t likely to get better in this road matchup.
Best Bet: Buffalo Bills/Los Angeles Rams Over 54.5 points (-110 @ FanDuel Sportsbook)
More Bills vs. Rams Picks, Props and Best Bets
Here are a few more Bills vs. Rams betting angles to consider:
- Kyren Williams Anytime Touchdown (-170 @ FanDuel Sportsbook) - Williams is the goal-line back for Los Angeles, as he’s the only running back with a carry inside the 10-yard line this season. Buffalo could also struggle in short-yardage without Ed Oliver. This is a parlay piece.
- Josh Allen Anytime Touchdown (-125 @ FanDuel Sportsbook) - Allen owns six touchdowns on six goal-line carries in 2026. Cook has a big role, but when they need a touchdown, Allen gets the ball.
- Los Angeles Rams -2.5 Alt Spread (-148 @ FanDuel Sportsbook) - The Rams get home-field advantage in this game. I want to get this number under a field goal, and it’s more of a parlay piece because of that.
