The Cincinnati Bengals and Philadelphia Eagles meet Friday night at Lincoln Financial Field in an NFL preseason finale between two teams that have had very different results so far. Philadelphia is 0-2, while Cincinnati has won both of its games and has been particularly impressive on the defensive side of the ball.

Of course, preseason records don't mean much to the teams themselves. These games are more about evaluating individual players, testing schemes and figuring out who belongs on the final roster. But the games are still played, and betting on them is part of the fun. My Bengals vs. Eagles prediction leans toward what we've actually seen through two weeks, which gives Cincinnati some real value as an underdog.

Bengals-Eagles Betting Odds

The Bengals vs. Eagles odds have Philadelphia favored by 2.5 points at home despite Cincinnati entering with the better preseason results.

Spread: Bengals +2.5 | Eagles -2.5

Moneyline: Bengals +124 | Eagles -146

Total: Over/Under 36.5

The Eagles have allowed 24 points in each of their first two games. Their offense scored only seven points in the opener before improving to 21 last week, so there has at least been some progress on that side of the ball.

Cincinnati has been much more consistent, which has been a big storyline of the preseason. The Bengals allowed 14 points in their opener and only nine last week, while scoring 16 and 27 themselves. That gives them 23 total points allowed through two games and makes the 2.5 points especially appealing.

There's also value on the moneyline. If Cincinnati is good enough to cover, it's certainly capable of winning outright, and +124 gives us a plus-money option on a team that's already shown its depth can close out preseason games.

Game Prediction

I'm backing Cincinnati in both the spread and moneyline markets, but the 2.5 points are my preferred play.

There is always plenty of uncertainty in the final preseason game. Teams are getting closer to Week 1, roster decisions are coming quickly, and playing time can vary significantly depending on what each coaching staff wants to accomplish. Some starters could get additional reps, while plenty of players deeper on the roster will be fighting for one of the final spots on the 53-man roster.

That makes these games unpredictable, but Cincinnati has given us more to trust so far. The defense has been good in both games, and the offense took another step last week by scoring 27 points.

Philadelphia hasn't shown that same level of consistency. The Eagles have given up 24 points in consecutive games and have yet to win, so getting Cincinnati plus the field goal feels like the right side.

The Bengals moneyline at +124 on most sports betting apps is worth a smaller look as well, but I'll take the insurance that comes with the spread as the primary bet.

Best Bet: Bengals +2.5

Bengals-Eagles Total Prediction

I'm also taking the over 36.5 in this matchup.

Philadelphia has already allowed 48 points through two preseason games, while its offense looked significantly better last week after struggling in the opener. Cincinnati has scored 43 points through two games and showed last week that it can generate offense even with preseason rotations.

The final week of the preseason can also create some interesting scoring opportunities. Players are fighting for roster spots, depth pieces are getting extended snaps, and defensive breakdowns can happen when personnel is constantly changing.

With a total sitting at only 36.5, we don't need either offense to completely take over the game. A score somewhere in the low 20s for both teams would be enough.

The total portion of my Bengals vs. Eagles prediction comes down to Philadelphia continuing to allow points while showing enough offensive improvement to contribute on the other side. Cincinnati has defended well, but this still feels like a game that can work its way into the 40s.

Best Bet: Over 36.5

Final Bengals-Eagles Best Bets

Cincinnati has simply given us more to trust through two preseason games. The Bengals have played better defense, they've won both contests, and they're still getting 2.5 points against an Eagles team that has allowed 24 points in consecutive games.

I'm taking Bengals +2.5 as the primary side, while the +124 moneyline is also appealing for anyone looking for a plus-money option. Over 36.5 rounds out the card, with Philadelphia's defensive struggles and improving offense creating a path to a higher-scoring finale.
