The Green Bay Packers have locked up wide receiver Christian Watson on a four-year, $110.5 million contract. The extension that includes a $31 million signing bonus, which was reported Thursday by ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Watson is not the first Packers' pass-catcher to cash in this offseason. Green Bay also handed wide receiver Jayden Reed a three-year deal worth more than $50 million in 2026. Now, Jordan Love's weapons are intact for the foreseeable future.

The big paydays come in the wake of veteran receiver Romeo Doubs departing for New England in free agency, but the Packers appear confident in their remaining core. Meanwhile, former first-round pick Matthew Golden — the first wide receiver Green Bay invested first-round draft capital in for many years — enters his second season with a high ceiling and plenty of optimism surrounding his development. Tight end Tucker Kraft, coming off an injury, is also expected to return to this young offense in 2026.

However, Watson extension comes with some risk attached. Injuries have been the defining storyline of his first four years in the league. He appeared in just 10 games in 2025 and nine in 2023. The receiver never topped 620 receiving yards in a single season. The talent and explosiveness have never been in question. When healthy, Watson is one of the best field-stretching playmakers in the NFL. The Packers are betting big that the injury luck turns around.

For Green Bay, the future looks bright. A full allotment of weapons locked up, a promising tight end soon to be healthy again, and a quarterback in his prime at the helm. Green Bay's offense is built to compete for a while.
