Week 6 NFL Betting: Upset Predictions For Longshot Parlays & Pick ‘Em Pools
As always, underdogs attracting interest on the NFL Week 6 odds board. Determining the most notable ones at various NFL betting sites isn’t easy. But if you usually throw pizza money on parlays and same-game parlays, below are three plus-money teams to remember. This potential three-team parlay isn’t a personal wager on my card, but you can also read up on those separate NFL best bets.

Minnesota Vikings at Chicago bears
As I examined in TheLines’ weekly newsletter, which you’ll receive if you sign up for one of our free sports betting contests, Vikings odds are a tad overvalued without a healthy All-Pro wide receiver, Justin Jefferson. The 2022 AP Offensive Player of the Year was placed on injured reserve with a hamstring injury. Per NFL oddsmakers at Circa Sports, one of the sharper operators in the industry, Jefferson is one of the most valuable non-quarterbacks to the spread — equivalent to roughly two points.
Even with Kirk Cousins up against the Bears’ subpar secondary, surrendering the second-highest EPA per dropback, I’d prefer to back the red-hot Justin Fields. Minnesota’s man-to-man and blitz-heavy scheme favors the third-year signal caller, as he’s historically outperformed his career-average production against this type of coverage.
new england patriots at las vegas raiders
Those who wagered on Patriots odds in Week 5 saw New England get handed a second-straight blowout loss. However, the Saints tallied the fourth-lowest success offensive success rate while scoring 13 points on short fields from the Patriots’ three turnovers. For context, the initial metric applies to a play being deemed successful if it accrues at least 50% of the necessary yards for a first down, 70% on a second down, and 100% on a third or fourth down.
In short, Bill Belichick’s defense exceeded expectations without pass rusher Matthew Judon (elbow) nor rookie corner Christian Gonzalez (shoulder). Despite New England touting one of the NFL’s most inefficient offenses, the defense should hold the Raiders’ one-dimensional unit in check.

Philadelphia eagles at new york jets
For a second straight season, we’ve seen an undefeated start for Eagles odds straight up. Nevertheless, I’ve continued to preach that the market is overvaluing them, according to my numbers. Not only will the Jets have a healthier secondary, assuming D.J. Reed (concussion) returns, but their top-10 run defense should also hold the Eagles’ ground-oriented offense in check. Asking much from Zach Wilson is probably pushing it, yet the opposing secondary has taken a step back because of the slow-footed Darius Slay, who missed Wednesday’s practice with a knee injury.
Don’t be surprised if Philly looks past New York with the Dolphins on deck. If you’re in the camp that New York will pull off the upset, the most valuable Jets odds are .
